Hybrid in 2000 Loop?

While our Hybrid camper was getting some work this Fall we made camping reservations in the 2000 loop to tent camp. The camper is ready early and we are stuck with a tent site - there are no other sites available. Has anyone taken a regular trailer into 2000 since the new rules were made? Is Disney lenient with this at all? What will happen if we just show up? Obviously we will keep trying to upgrade. I know we will fit - we use to camp in there all the time. Advice??
