Is is worth it to be at the Hyatt in MCO? It seems for about $70 less I can get a free shuttle to a nearby holiday inn. How much easier is it to be at the Hyatt. Taking disney transfers to the port. Thanks!

If you stay at the Hyatt MCO, your bags will be picked up inside your room at the airport and delivered to the DCL transportation people. You don't have to handle your checked bags from hotel to bus.

If you stay offsite (Holiday Inn), you'll have to get back to the airport to catch the bus (and handle your own bags to the bus).

With either option your bags (once you've handed them off) will show up at your room onboard later that afternoon.

Depending on when you are arriving at MCO, it could be an issue getting to an off site hotel, especially if it's the middle of the night. Plus, having to get up early enough to catch the shuttle back to airport before heading to the port. Staying at the Hyatt, you can go directly to your room (and to bed, if necessary). And you get to sleep in a little longer.

The convenience of the Hyatt (and all the help with the luggage as PP said) was worth it for us to stay there for our cruise in December 2012. Sometimes I don't mind paying more for less stress.

Can everybody in your party carry their own luggage on and off the shuttle bus? If yes, then I would think you could easily stay away from the airport. We had a 1 year old, so one person has to push the stroller and the other has to deal with the luggage...in this case it was well worth the extra $$ to stay at the Hyatt. Plus the Hyatt was much nicer than any airport hotel that I have every stayed it.
