Has anyone ever stayed there? How easy is it to cross over to Universal? Shuttles? Breakfast? Good? Bad?
I read that the breakfast area was small and hard to get into in the morning.
Do they sell park tickets there?
Any reviews?
Thanks!

Do you mean the Hyatt Place that's on the other side of Kirkman from Universal? If you do then I can help you as I've stayed there like 3-4 times.I think the hotel is great,it's got huge flat screen TV's in every room super comfortable beds and a really cool modern design.I would agree that the breakfast area is not big enough and many days we found ourselves having to eat in the sofas in the lobby, which isn't too far from the breakfast area as they are both pretty much next to each other.I also think there's another one of these Hyatt Places on the southern end of I-Drive that opened after the one by Universal.

It is on Caravan Court. Supposed to be right across from Universal.

Do they sell tickets in the lobby?
Anything you can tell me about the hotel and or little tips. Getting to breakfast at a certain time to avoid the crowds. How the pool is, etc.

Thanks,
Sue

Having AP's for the parks I don't know if they sell tickets but they do have these cool check in computers where you just swipe the card that you used to get your room and the machine spits out your room keys.I never used the pool but I don't think it's very big.As far as breakfast if the hotel is full it will be crowded, but they also have a little space next to the free breakfast area where they sell coffee and hot breakfasts. This space has a counter with seats that area available to anyone.

I would suggest that if you are getting tickets to universal i would go to their site (universalorlando.com) and get them before you go.. and then you could pick them up at the park. you can get a 7 day unlimited use for both parks for 99.99 before tax. that is a really great deal.. When you pick the tickets up there is computers that you can get them. it is easy and fast.

I haven't stayed there but did stay at the doubletree across the street from it and they share the same shuttle and actually a few of the hotels share the shuttle service in that area but the good thing is the hyatt is the second pick up and it is also same walking distance to universal that doubletree is and its about a 10 min walk.
If you don't want to eat breakfast at the hotel then there is a cracker barrel right down from the hotel on caravan that is good.
