I read on their website that they have a free shuttle. Do they share this shuttle with other hotels, or is it designated for just their hotel?

How early does it run/late does it return?

Do you have to pay the nightly parking fee even if you aren't parking a car?

Thanks for any info!

The shuttles run every 30 minutes ( on the 5 and 35 of every hour I think). They run 30 minutes before park opens and I think the last shuttle is an hour after closing (again, I think). The shuttle is also used by the Crowne Plaza across the street.

You do not pay the fee if you don't park.

It's been several years since I stayed there...I'm thinking 10 years...but I do remember the transporation was top notch...a luxury motor coach with very plush comfortable seating. We stopped at one other major hotel but I don't remember which one and it was the same schedule as any of the other routes. Usually on the half hour and the half hour after the park closed.

We were so comfy getting back the Hyatt that we didn't want to get out!

Thanks for the replies. I ended up calling the hotel directly to confirm the parking fee issue. I read somewhere else that you had to pay the parking fee per night even if you didn't have a car, which seemed completely ridiculous. So yes, you do NOT pay the parking fee if you don't have a car! :) Parking, by the way, is $15 per night. Internet fee is $9.95/24 hours. Free shuttle is shared with 2 other hotels: Crowne Plaza and Sheraton. Just in case anyone else was wondering.

We stayed at the CP twice last year via priceline.com ~ the shared shuttle worked well enough, but it's not gonna get you to the gates 30 prior to opening and forget about getting there for MM ~ we took a taxi for our MM.

We stayed there last year in one of the kid suites. The suite was really nice - 2 rooms with the kids room having no access to the hall, which I prefer. I do remember wishing there was an earlier first shuttle of the day. We're a get-there-before-the-rope-drops kind of family, and that's pretty much impossible even on the first shuttle since it stops at the Crowne plaza. Loading and unload is also very slow. I don't remember it stopping at the Sheraton (maybe that's new?), but I imagine that would make it even longer. Overall though the hotel was quiet, clean, and had a super comfortable bed. 3 things I look for!

We've stayed there several times and loved it. I see you already got answers to your questions by contacting the hotel directly but I wanted to chime in. We love this hotel and have never had trouble getting to the park 30 min before opening. We've never done the MM so I don't have any comments on that, but the hotel is really nice and the shuttle is nice too.

How much was the taxi, if you don't mind my asking? Also, I'm assuming you flew. If so, what is your recommendation for getting to the hotel from the airport?

Thanks for your reply. As far as the shuttle goes, were you able to pretty much get on the shuttle you were aiming for, or did you ever have to wait 30 min. for the next one to come along?

Thanks for sharing your experiences. It helps in the decision-making process. :goodvibes A review posted on Trip Advisor yesterday mentioned how they nickel and dime you for everything...that's why I called about the whole parking fee thing. Just didn't make sense when I read that you had to pay even if you didn't have a car. Glad that was wrong.

The taxi was probably $8 ~ yes we flew, we have yet to drive to DLR ~ someday.... anyway I think 1 time my cousin's husband picked us up at the airport and took us there (we always fly into LGB) but usually we use a car service ~ Our drivers name is Ron and his business card says VIP Service (Kim Sontha Transportation). The number is (562) 396-8106 (company number) OR the number where he has always answered is 562-895-6713. We've had a Toyota Highlander & Lexus SUV for our past trips. We pay $45 each way.

We would get down to the lobby about 5 minutes before the shuttle was scheduled to leave for the park, and we were always able to get on the shuttle that we wanted. In fact, one of the mornings the regular bus filled up and they brought out a second little shuttle for the overflow guests. Our trip was in mid may, not the busiest time of year, but the bus would definitely fill up.

The return shuttle, by the way, left very promptly at its designated time. Based on the amount of time it took to load the bus in the morning we figured there might be a bit of leeway, but one night we arrived 1 minute late for the return shuttle and saw it pulling away. After that we always made sure we were a few minutes early!

Thanks for all the info, we're staying at that hotel in a couple of weeks. On one of the days that we've planned a Disney day the park opens at 7am :scared1: & closes at midnight. Does anyone know if they have a shuttle for extra magic mornings.

They didn't last year. They ran the shuttle according to regular park hours. You'll need to take a taxi if you want to get there ~ I'd suggest getting there by 6:30 ~ I strongly suggest you take a mid day break as well.

I just booked this Hotel. Pretty excited. It looks nice and I got an excellent rate during Spring Break! I love the idea of a free shuttle.

We booked there for July/August...I feel more comfortable staying somewhere I have stayed before (not in Anaheim, but at another Hyatt) and the renovation looks amazing.

A perk that you may not know about...

They now offer kids eat free with a paying adult at their restaurant!

Also, I called and they do do an early shuttle on MM days--or that's what the helpful guy on the phone told me!

Nice! I knew about the Kids eat free but did not know if the had an early shuttle on MM days. That's cool!

We ended up booking this hotel. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it when you return, if you get a chance.

Called the hotel about something different last night...and they said kids eat free is only on lunch and dinner...but when I booked they told me it was breakfast too.
