Hi everybody (hiii Doctor Nick...)

We're getting married in Florida in October 08, and are staying at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort before setting sail on the Disney Wonder.

I've checked out the reviews on trip advisor and they all seem very positive, but just wondering if anyone here has first hand experience of the hotel (I trust the DIS more than TripAdvisor :rotfl2: )

Thanks

Luke

Yes, this is a very nice hotel. Great pool area and restaurants within the hotel too. Your also very close to Disney, and tons of other off site restaurants. Dont worry about it, you picked a good hotel.

I have stayed there and it was VERY nice. Much nicer then any Disney Deluxe. Good pools and lots of other activities.

Does the Grand Cypress still have the waterfall slide? Hubby and I have been there, years ago, before we got married. Very nice hotel.

It is truly a beautiful hotel. The grounds are huge. They have a horse stable, golf course and a little town, like a western town. Although maybe the town was just made up for the convention my husband attended.

The rooms were very nice with a gorgeous marbled bathroom. We loved the pool, it is huge! There were many different parts to it, we had fun exploring.

The food was marvelous! We even enjoyed the little convenience store/quick food down by the pool. Every night before bed we would go down and get a treat. Sometimes the child and I even ate dinner down there.
You will have a fantastic time! Congratulations!

We stay at the Grand Cypress about 4 times per year. There is always a lot of stuff to do and the pool is fabulous. The hotel is schedued to begin renovations sometime in 2008 but I would not think that shoud be a problem. We have stayed at other Hyatt's during renovations and they usually close off a number of floors at a time to avoid noise disruptions for the guests. You may want to ask for pool view as that way you will see the fireworks from Disney at night. Congratulations!

We're there in October, maybe the rennovations will have finished? The hotel looks so big anyway that a doubt they would be noticeable anyway!!

Hoping to ham it up at check in to see what kind of cheeky free upgrades they may give us due to it being our wedding ;)

:goodvibes
