Hyatt Procedure

I have reservations with FL Tours and called my TA today. She in turn called Disney regarding luggage transfers from the Hyatt MCO to the port. She was told that if you don't use Disney transportation, you cannot transfer your luggage to the buses. We sail in April. Can anyone verify or negate her information?
There have been reports of people having their luggage transferred without having purchased DCL transfers. I've also read reports of people being told what you were. Personally, if I hadn't purchased the transfers, I wouldn't count on having my bags taken this way. If they don't show up, what recourse to you really have if you didn't pay for anything? I think the potential for aggravation involved with having your luggage lost between the airport and the ship far outweighs the limited hassle of having to bring it from your room to the van/car service.

Thanks for your input. I should have added that it is my understanding that this service is available for a fee.

I was told from DCL res that even thought I was staying at the airport Hyatt and was taking DCL transfers that I had to carry my own bags on the bus and take them off on the port because I didn't purchase the Hyatt transfer package from DCL. Also that the bus picked up at 10:30 not 9:30. I was planning on asking at the Hyatt front desk anyway. Do they take all DCL cruisers bags with transfers and what time does the bus really leave? What if there are too many people for the first bus? Thanks. pirate:

When we stayed at teh Hyatt in November, all we had to prove ws that we were booked on DCL transfers to get our bags transferred to the port. Also, the first bus does leave around 9:30, but it isn't guaranteed to be at that time. The buses are first at the port in the AM and come to the airport from there. So, if there is a delay with the ship at the port, there will be a delay in the buses leaving the airport. We were on the first bus from the Hyatt, and we didn't leave until about 9:45. Also, as you are checked-in, you are given a bus character. When they call your character, your bus is there. So, if you don't check-in early, you might be on the second bus. They begin checking in passengers at the Hyatt around 9AM.
