Hyatt Orlando - how to book luggage transfer?

I've been reading a lot about the luggage transfer service from Hyatt Orlando to DCL and I have a few questions:

* Is there a specific package you need to book to have them pick up your luggage to get it to DCL? Do you book it through a TA or directly through Hyatt?
* How do you get from Hyatt to DCL? Do you book an official DCL transfer? What about the return trip from DCL to MCO? Anyone know what this roughly costs?
* I have 33,000 Hyatt Gold Passport points, and it looks like it's 15,000 points per night at the hotel so we would have enough points for the two rooms we need. Can I book this service if I get a room on the Gold Passport?
* Is this service really worth it? Are we better off staying at a hotel on Coco Beach and be closer the morning of?
* Our return flight out of MCO is at 12:50pm. Will the return transfer be early enough to make that flight? I would think if we left port at about 10am though would be enough time.

Thanks in advance!

If you book DCL coach transfers then they transfer the bags with you for that.

There is a luggage transfer service from WDW resorts to Port for six bags $35 but not from MCO.

How do you get from Hyatt to DCL? Do you book an official DCL transfer? -Yes.

What about the return trip from DCL to MCO? Yes DCL transfer.

Anyone know what this roughly costs? $35 pp per trip.

Book by TA if used or DCL if booked direct, or in your cruise documents when received.

When you book a room at the Hyatt it does not matter how you book it. You can book it with your points. You would call DCL or your TA to book the transfers from MCO to port and then port back to MCO (the bus is not specifically from the Hyatt Hotel but from the Magical Express area of the airport). Transfers are $35 pp each way. This is probably the most convenient way to get to the port.

You will have to leave the ship by 9:00-9:30 as they want everyone off by then to get ready for the next cruise. If you qualify you can use the Onboard Airline Check In program at the end of your cruise...here are the details. It costs no extra to use this service...you just have to book the DCL transfers.

Disney's Convenient Onboard Airline Check-In

Enjoy the comfort and convenience of Onboard Airline Check-In* when you purchase air or ground transportation through Disney Cruise Line, such as:
•Receive your boarding passes ahead of time.
•Check your luggage for your return flight before disembarking the ship.
•Skip luggage claim at the port terminal.
•Bypass the airline check-in counter at the airport.

Here's how it works:
1.Reserve air or ground transportation through Disney Cruise Line, then request to sign up for Onboard Airline Check-In when you check in at the cruise port.
2.On the day prior to disembarkation, your airline boarding passes and valet luggage tags will be delivered to your stateroom.
3.Attach the tags to your luggage and leave your bags outside your stateroom on the evening prior to disembarkation. Your luggage will be collected and delivered to your airline for you.
4. Upon arrival at Orlando International Airport, you can proceed to security and continue to your departure gate.

*This service is available to Guests flying out of Orlando International Airport on domestic flights (including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands) on Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue Airways, United Airlines.

Pre-registration is required and scheduled flights must be after 11:30 a.m. on the day your cruise ends. Airline specific baggage fee may apply and can vary by airline. Each luggage piece can weigh no more than 50lbs. Additionally, some Guests may be selected to check in at the airport and will be unable to use this service.

When you check in at Hyatt tell them you are taking the DCL transfers and they will give you a letter explaining the process. Basically you leave your checked luggage in your room and it gets picked up and transported to the port. You just head down to the Magical Express area of the airport with your carry ons and check in for a bus. First buses leave to the port about 9:20 or so.

I would just add that it is wise to stop at the front desk when leaving the hotel in the morning and confirm your room is on the list for luggage pickup. We had a situation happen once where we had two rooms booked but only one room ended up on the luggage pickup list. Fortunately we caught it before leaving on the bus to the port and the hotel was able to collect the luggage and transfer it to the ship as normal.
