I asked this in an existing thread but was off topic so I thought I would start a new thread in case anyone has experience with this.

We just changed our June 2013 cruise to include my DD's BFF. So we will be traveling as a group of 5.

Last year for the Dream, we stayed at CI&S in the kids suite and that worked out fine but it was a pain to drag the luggage all over the place. So next year we were going to try the Hyatt MCO with DCL transfers. But I don't see where you can book a single room for 5 people.

Has anyone been able to make a reservation for 2 adults and 3 kids in one room? We really don't want to split up, especially since it is one night only.

If we can't do it, we will just book CI&S again or two rooms at the Hyatt. But I'm hoping they will allow a roll away to be brought in for the 5th person.

We had the same issue. Hotel "policy" is 4 to a room maximum. However, I'm pretty sure they don't do bed checks like a high school band trip. :rotfl2:

I'd go with someone on the floor.

LOL - I have no problem letting DH sleep on the floor :rotfl2:.

I was just wondering if there is any issues with them picking up the bags. Is there any link between names on the luggage tickets and who is officially registered in the room, etc? Or do they just know they are supposed to pick up X number of bags from the room and hand them over to DCL?

They are going to pick up all the bags in the room. They will pick up the 10 bags you have Disney Tags for automatically.

As the hotel policy is 4 to a room; you would need to get two rooms.

I would get one room, it's 1 night no biggie. it is not linked Disney does not care. You will put number of luggageon your form and hand it to DCL when you check in.

Thanks everyone. :thumbsup2

Most likely we will reserve two rooms or book somewhere that can handle 5 so that everyone gets a good nights sleep. I'm sure whoever would have been stuck on the floor will appreciate having a bed after spending the day traveling across the country :lmao:

I was just hoping that someone had actually been in a situation where Hyatt provided a roll-away for a 5th person. I will call them and ask when it gets a little closer. I was really looking forward to the MCO check in and an early bus to the port this time. I just need to decide if the convenience of that is worth the extra expense of a second room.

I haven't read all the room descriptions, but is there a suite that might have a couch the secret 5th person could sleep on?

Hi, just wondering if there is any new info on this. My family (2 adults, 3 kids) would like to stay 1 night at the Hyatt MCO pre-cruise in 2013, and I'm wondering if Hyatt would provide a rollaway in a room with 2 double beds. Thanks in advance!

We actually did this a couple years ago or so. We had three adult ladies and two teenage girls. We all slept in the same room. There was the king bed, the double sofabed and they actually brought in a cot for the fifth person.

So, it is possible to do it. You need to ask.

We stayed 5 in a room with 2 doubles in May. There is a chair/ottoman that a kid can fit just fine on, assuming that they are younger children, not teens.

I just made my Hyatt reservation yesterday for my family of 5. As long as the 5th person is a minor/child it is allowed. They put is in an "accessible" room...not sure why, but it'll work for us :)

Here is a little know secret you can book your Hyatt reservations up to 1 year out all you have to do is put a credit card down to hold the reservation. I would not wait until closer to as the rooms fill up quickly. We all love the ease of staying at the Hyatt and checking in without having to worry about our bags.:cheer2:

You can have 5 to a room if the 5th is a child...however they will not put a rollaway bed into a room with two double beds. It's against the fire code regulations. I worked in hotels (Hyatt and Hilton) for years and it was always a bit of drama explaining that to guests. Best option is to ask for extra bedding for a floor bed or bring an air mattress.

Thanks so much for all the helpful information. I'm going to make our 2013 reservation soon! :cheer2:

We just recently booked for our family of 5. They do not allow for cots due to fire code. However, they have a special deal that you can book a second room at 1/2 price for the kids and guarantee adjoining rooms. I don't know if it's just because it was an overnight for a cruise stay, but I phoned the hotel to make my reservation and they told me about the deal after asking if I was staying one night before taking a cruise.

Hope this helps. It's not inexpensive, but it's convenient and very comfortable. Plus, it's so nice for DH and I to be able to stay up later than the kids if we want to.

Thanks so much for posting this. I was the OP on this thread and I still have not called to make my reservation. I think I will call tomorrow and see if we can get this same deal.
I'm glad to hear that everyone was able to make it work with 5 people. Even if we end up just booking one room, DS could easily sleep in the chair or on the floor with extra bedding.

Thanks, our youngest DD is 3! Did you call Hyatt MCO directly, or did you use the Hyatt 1-800 reservation number?
