Since the cheapest rate I could find for the Hyatt was $164.00 for an overnight reservation, I don't think you'll get the day rate any cheaper than $75.00. There are other "off property" airport hotels with shuttle services from MCO that are more reasonable by about 20 - 40 dollars. Check them out on Travelocity or any other hotel website. The only hassle is that you'll have to take their shuttles from MCO and back to MCO. Amerisuites is 1 mile from the airport and has a pool and suite rooms with a kitchen. Their rate is $69.00 for 1 night. I didn't check out if they have a day rate. If you decide to go outside the airport or not, you can check your luggage at the Port Canaveral if your airline has a station there upon disembarking. That will at least free up your luggage. You may want to keep some carry ons in case the other hotels have pools ect.
Don't know what else to recommend. We weighed all the choices and decided to go to the Hyatt for the day - our flight leaves at 4:56pm. We figured it was worth the convenience for $30 or $40 dollars more than the cheaper off airport property hotels to stay at the Hyatt. We also figured our kids would eak that out of us in souveniers at the airport if we didn't get a room!
