Does anyone know of any discounts for this hotel?? We want to stay there for one night on March 3 since our flight home leaves at 6:30 AM on March 4. Rack rate is $225 on Hyatt's website but I was hoping to find some sort of discount to bring that price down a little. I looked on Hotwire but this hotel doesn't seem to be showing up for that date. Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks!

Would it be more easy to stay off the airport and call a cab? I don't know how much lower you can get the Hyatt on March.

That is a busy time of year. So discounts might be hard to come by. However, did you try the come discount sites like expedia, orbitz, and travelocity?

Edited to add--

I did a quick check and expedia is showing their best rate of $199 a night.
Hotels.com is also showing $199 a night.
cheaptickets.com is also showing $199 a night.

Looks like that is about as low as it's going to get. Do you have AAA or Entertainment club discounts?

Just wanted to let you know that the Hyatt @ MCO is on Hotwire for your date for $183.

The amenities icons for the MCO Hyatt changed about a week ago. I know because I was planning on purchasing through Hotwire and had seen the post about how to identify it (only 3.5 star in MCO area without a shuttle listed). The first day I looked sure enough I saw the the 3.5 star with no shuttle listed. I didn't purchase it that day. I went back to Hotwire the next day to purchase and the 3.5 star with no shuttle was gone, but there was another 3.5 star listed at the same price I had seen for the Hyatt the day before. The amenities list included a shuttle though as well as high speed internet. I kept checking for a few days and the same 3.5 star with shuttle kept showing up at the same price. I started to suspect the Hyatt had changed it's amenities icons. I was about to go ahead, take a chance, and purchase hoping it was the Hyatt but I really wanted the Hyatt and was afraid to take the leap. Finally, it ocurred to me to look at the Hotwire package deals that identfy the Hotel names and lists the amenities. These don't always match but I thought it was worth a try. As luck would have it, the MCO Hyatt showed up with the new amenities including the shuttle. So I went back and purchased the mystery 3.5 star hotel for my date, and sure enough I got the MCO Hyatt.

The new amenities icons listed on Hotwire for the MCO Hyatt are now:
Airport Shuttle, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, High Speed Internet Access, Tennis Nearby, Business Center.

Hope this helps!

I know you want the Hyatt, but I just stayed at the Sheraton Suites near the Airport...got it off Hotwire for $46 a night and it was GREAT. Beautiful suite, with a separate living area, comfortable kingsize bed, nice little restaurant, pool, friendly service...VERY nice. I do believe they had a shuttle to the airport, although I didn't use it. It was listed as a three star suite hotel at the airport on Hotwire.

Speaking from experience, the cheapest way to book a Hyatt is on the net. Did you check Hyatt.com? If you haven't yet, check it out, and also check out their best rate guarantee. There are some stipulations, but it's a good thing to know about. The other internet sites will offer cheaper rates too so check them out as well. Also check your discount abilities, are you a travel agent, senior citizen, AAA member? What company do you work for? A lot of companies have volume accounts with Hyatt's even if you're not staying with a convention going on there. Call reservations directly (1-800-233-1234) and ask the agent what's the cheapest rate/discount they have and see if you apply for it. I'm biased because I'm a Hyatt employee, I've stayed at that particular Hyatt, and one of the managers at that property is a good friend of mine. Besides that, it's a nice, convenient property. They've just recently renovated the rooms as well. Good luck!! :)
