Has anyone stayed there recently? The threads I've read so far sound good. It sounds like there's some kind of "back road" that makes it easier to get to Disney. I know we will be going to DTD and MK. I got this resort last night on Priceline for $65. :thumbsup2 'm so excited!

65/night for what month?

we are looking into this resort too. Hopefully someone will have some feedback for us!

The $65 per night is for Dec 17 & 18. I know there is a resort fee but it still sounds like a great deal :goodvibes

That's an unbelievable deal. I'm really jealous. It has one of the best pools in Orlando, and the best slide. There's a bike path, just lots of stuff. If you want a cheaper meal, there's a casual bar/restaurant at the bottom of the driveway that's popular with locals. Have fun.

For the other person interested in this hotel, I've heard you can call the hotel directly and offer the manager a room rate. There aren't many deals online, although it comes up now and again on priceline.

That's a really good deal. My wife and I stayed there (we had some free nights) but the bill would have been about $120/night IIRC.

Its a very nice hotel. We were there last september and the pool looked very nice but it had been raining a lot and it was really cold. I don't know about this "back road" but its really easy to get to the Disney Parks, DTD, other hotels, and Universal if you have a car. The whole area is very driveable.

I can post some pics if you needed more than what they have on the site.

*EDIT 8/26/11*: Sorry for delay in pics, haven't gotten to my home computer yet.

It's down the road from our condo in Windermere -- well really down the road but we pass it alot and it is very nice. If you turn left out of there there are two different roads to the left that are Disney roads. Their names are escaping me at the moment. My daughter uses them to get to work.

Otherwise you will be turning right and then right onto Apopka Vineland and either going through Hotel Blvd or getting onto the interstate.

Not sure if you've already stayed, but we've always had the resort fee waived just by asking. Never hurts to ask.

We stayed there at the end of August. It is an incredible hotel, very clean, and the staff is very helpful. The pool is just incredible, it has to be one of the nicest hotel pools around. They do have shuttles to WDW as well as Seaworld and Universal, but they just have a few times they pick up/drop off. Also the restaurants were really expensive.
