Hyatt airport Orlando?

Hi,
A few years ago I booked a day room at the airport Haytt while we waited for our night flight. I called they act like I'm nuts. Has anyone else done this and if yes what did you call it? Do you remember what you paid?
Back then I think it was like $60.00.

I've never done this, but I most definitely recall reading here on the DIS that people have done it in the past. Hopefully someone with recent experience doing this will post.

There are definitely airport hotels that offer "day rates" and I'm almost positive I read the Hyatt Orlando offered this at one time. Usually with a rate like this you get use of a room and all the hotel's facilities for so many hours in the day. Did you call a central reservations # or the hotel directly? If not, I would call the hotel directly, and if so, I would call again and ask to speak to a manager or someone who understands what a "day rate" is.

I was told that it had to be booked on that day. In other words, if they have availability they will let you do it. I was quoted $80.
