Husbands Birthday- any suggestions?

My husbands Birthday is February 9th. We are getting off of our cruise that morning and will be staying at the Polynesian (he doesn't konw- has always wanted to) for 1 night before moving over to our DVC reservation. I am having a hard time deciding on where to go for his birthday dinner- I would love to have him "embarrased" or at least a little "to do" made for his birthday- anyone have any suggestions? We have 2 children, 9 and 11, and don't mind character meals, but already have 2 at Chef Mickey's for our beofre/after cruise scheduled. Any thoughts are appreciated!

My DH birthday is Jan 30th and we have reservations for O'Hana's (he picked it) but, I am planning to surprise him by ordering a special cake . If I am not mistaken they will bring the cake to the table and sing Happy Birthday to him, I'm sure he will be embarrassed and I can't wait!

Since you're staying at the Poly, it might be easier to have your dinner there too. Kona or O'hana's would be fine. I think O'Hana's is more "fun" and you can order a cake. The hotline # for O'Hana's is 407-824-2165. I got it off the Cake Hotline thread here on the boards.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions- WCC would be fun, but so would Ohana's I think, and very convenient- of course, it is only a month away, so I might just have to see what I can get!! Thanks for all the great ideas!

My DH and I were there in Dec. for his birthday and I had surprises planned for him. We ate at Cape May for dinner and the waitress brought him out a little chocolate mousse cake with a candle and a birthday pin. Then she yelled at the top of her lungs that it was his birthday and we should all sing happy birthday. Everyone sang and my DH was about to crawl under the table, he was so humiliated. It was great!! Also I planned a Wishes cruise that was really fun. Also at the Coral Reef, I had a personalized menu made for him and the diver swam over to the window holding a personalized happy birthday sign. At the Crystal Palace, the table was all decorated with Mickey head confetti and a streamer. They also brought out a card signed by the characters and a cupcake. He was also embarrassed here. (He just turned 58)
When you make your ADR's, just let them know its a birthday celebration. I forgot to tell you that we rented a pontoon boat and my DH was really surprised since I get seasick on boats, and when they found out it was DH's birthday, they didn't charge us. They said it's on the house. It would've been $45.00 for a half hour. This was such a great trip. The attention that Disney gives you when your celebrating a special occassion is the best!! Have a great trip.

If you're staying at Poly, do O'hanas. We had our anniversary dinner there last summer and it was fun. We didn't say anything, but another couple there had a big deal made of it and it was very nice and certainly very festive

We celebrated my birthday, my wife's, sister's, brother-in-law's and step father's birthday at Ohana's two years ago (we are all born in September). We had a group of almost 20 and we ordered a special cake. They brought the cake out and they brought all the kids in the restaurant and sang happy birthday to us. It was pretty cool.
