Husband did not go on strike, trip is ON!!!

My husband works for Verizon and they were set to go on strike last night at midnight. The company and union have been meeting and getting nowhere, but they froze the clocks and are going to work on Monday as usual and working under the original contract. I was afraid we were going to have to push our trip scheduled for three weeks from now to November. But so far trip is on, and I hope to hear more good news from Hubby after work on Monday or I told him not to come home!!! I made so many plans since April and got all of my ADR's scheduled so I was terrified if I had to cancel I wouldn't get everything for Nov. Kids are beyond psyched, only 3 WEEKS !!!

Thanks for the well wishes! My husband tells me the strike threat is not over yet. They're killing me! I just want to get super excited to be leaving in less than three weeks and they are taking that excitement away Anyway we have relatives in Springfield and Upper Darby and my parents grew up in Havertown!! Hello neighbors! Where are you staying for Free Dining? We're at POR, maybe we'll see you there!!

Hey neighbor

We're staying at Pop Century! I love Port Orleans Riverside. But couldn't justify the money since we just spent 16 days on a trip to Hawaii in June.

We also are staying at AKV in Oct for 9 days and at SSR for 8 days and 2 more days undetermined where we'll stay.

We originally book Aug 24th - Sept 1st but when I did airfare I used our mileage and it was less to book earlier. So I added two days (ap rate) Pop Century then the dining plan is for the rest of the stay.

I just found a discount for my Disney Visa so I may call and check the rates for Aug 22 - 24th for POR.

The only downside is it will be a bummer to switch from a moderate to a value

Quick update: Well I thought I was in the clear, BUT Verizon workers might go on strike tonight at midnight !!! There have been some improvements on negotiations but it has come to a stand still. Only 16 days and now this. I can't win. Trip is still on says hubby, at least you get paid for your vacation week even if you are on strike!!! Wish me luck!!!
