Good evening everyone!

My family and I had to evacuate from the mid-east coast and are currently nestled at a family member's house outside of Orlando. My husband, myself and two kids (8 and 10) will be going to Universal Studios tomorrow (Saturday) and IOA on Sunday.

Questions:

1) Husband just had surgery, can you rent the smallish motorized scooter things at the parks or is there a third party rental company that we have to rent from elsewhere?

2) With the scooter, is there a place to safely park it so that he could ride Spider-Man? I have never navigated a park with someone in a wheelchair/scooter who is able bodied enough to ride the light indoor stuff.

3) Is HHN ony in the Studios side? I just wanted to make sure the hours on Touring Plans were listed corrently as 5PM tomorrow at Studios and 9PM sunday at IOA.

4) I have never been to these parks with kids, and this is my first time at the Studios side. Could anyone link me or suggest a great not-too-detailked touring plan? Somesites say very light crowds, TP says moderate 5/10 crowds. We are doing the 1 park per day pass without the Express Passes.

Happy to answer anything questions you all have! Thank you!

There is wheelchair/scooter parking for each ride. Don't fret about that.

"Guests can rent strollers, wheelchairs and Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECV) upon entrance to Universal Studios Florida™ and Universal’s Islands of Adventure™, to the left side of each park's entrance. Manual wheelchairs are also available at the Rotunda area of the parking structure. Due to limited numbers, please note that ECV Rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis and must be operated by a single person 18 years of age or older.

NOTE: We suggest you place a request in advance for ECV rentals (at least 1 week prior to your arrival). This can be done by contacting Guest Services by calling 407-224-4233.

Strollers and Electronic Convenience Vehicles (ECVs) will not be available for rent at Universal’s Volcano Bay™. Wheelchairs are readily available at the Concierge Booths located throughout the park for guests that may need them. "

I have nothing to add about the rental of scooters, but I just want to say good luck to your family during the hurricane! I hope everything is okay when you return to your home.
