Disney is one of the few places you want to be during a hurricane. They have their own power source and the Resorts stay open, even if the parks close. I lived in Orlando during some bad hurricanes in 2004. When Hurricane Charlie hit it took out half of my apartment complex and we were without power for a week (which is nothing compared to what others have lost in hurricanes). The morning after it hit and we didn't have power, we went to EPCOT and Magic Kingdom. They were up and running and the parks were pretty clean. We met a Disney executive who said they were up all night and as soon as it cleared they were getting the parks back in shape. Universal and Sea World, and even the mall, were shut down. When another hurricane threatened Orlando in 2004 we canceled a Girl's Weekend in Disney and they refunded our deposit on our rooms no problem. Normally you have a time-frame in which to cancel but they're more lenient about it when a storm is threatening.
In the case of a wedding, I remember reading on these boards about a bride whose wedding was during Hurricane Wilma last year (which temporarily derailed my honeymoon cruise) and Disney still had the wedding. Most of their guests could not attend, but their wedding went on as planned. I doubt Disney would reschedule a wedding. The Resorts will remain open - they have guests to consider - so if there is a place to have the wedding they will have it.
Hurricane season has just over a month to go - let's all hope and pray that none hit this year!
