Oh great we are going in August. I really hope we don't get bad storm or a hurricane. I knew the risk we were taking when booking our holiday at this time of year but we are limited to school holidays in August as they the longest we have with the exception of Xmas and Easter being two weeks but at a much higher price than the summer.

we were there in 2004 when they had hurricane charlie. The hurricane hit on a friday we were supposed to be leaving on the Saturday morning. Ended up staying another 4 days because we were unable to get a flight home. We were away for nearly 4 weeks!!!
To be fair, every year since 2000 has been "above average". Years like 2003 & 2004 are becoming the norm. We had a fairly cold winter this year, though, hopefully that should bode well....
Hopefully the hurricanes will stay away this year.
We were in Orlando when a hurricane went up the gulf last year (Dennis I think it was).
The weather was a bit variable but certainly not bad (compared to Scottish weather ). It had the effect of making the parks very quiet which was fine by with us.
