I know regular policy with Disney Resorts all a "free cancel/ or date change". If there is a warning, but what if you are booked with DVC points and a hurricane comes. What is the policy?

From the member website:
Disney Vacation Club Hurricane Policy Statement
From June 1 to November 30, 2010, in the event a hurricane warning is issued by the National Hurricane Center for the Orlando area, Vero Beach area, Hilton Head Island or for the Member's place of residence within 7 days before the scheduled arrival date, the Member may call Member Services prior to check-in to cancel or reschedule, based upon availability, their Disney Vacation Club Resort reservation without any cancellation or modification penalty.

Note: This policy pertains to hurricane warnings only. Other weather advisory levels are handled on a case by case basis and Members should contact Member Services.

It varies depending upon the exact conditions, if there is a danger to guests, or travel on the roads is not possible, they have returned the points to the current use year without the holding status.

EDIT: I didn't know they added an official policy to the website. :)

Remember that this does not apply to people renting points from an owner. It is a private transaction and subject to whatever agreement is reached between the two parties involved.
