Hurricane Katia

Oh boy...

Back to worrying.

Never again in Hurricane season. Not worth it

I see that you are on our cruise. We got married during hurricane season also which this makes 7 years for us this year which we are celebrating with this cruise. We drove through Frances during our honeymoon to get to Walt Disney World. We just figure it always gives us great stories to tell. Don't worry and enjoy your day and honeymoon.

Something new to keep our eyes on. Woo-hoo. Just trying to get to our 9/18 cruise on the Dream. Hopefully, hurricane free. :)

My wife and i are going on the Oct 2nd departure and as so many of you are posting about hurricane worries here is one to think about. We live in connecticut and had 730k homes without power, today we still have 350k remaining. Shoreline houses were swept away in some towns and rivers throughout the state are overflowing. With that said I would rather not be on a ship during a hurricane.

Gongrats on the honeymoon. My Fiance and I are getting married on the 9/11 sailing and then shipping the kids home and staying for an extra 3 day. I'm hoping these Hurricane messes will subside, but, all in all, whatever it is, it is...Maybe we will go west instead. I know the crew does a great job at avoiding them.. Keep your head up!:thumbsup2

Those of us flying from the US to Spain for the 14-night Westbound TransAtlantic on DCL Magic are all watching these forecasts! Pixie dust WILL be on our side for the September 10 embarkation date in Barcelona. :thumbsup2

I'm not liking how these models changed overnight. Go north and die out in the ocean please.

DownTick....we will be at CC on Tuesday....from those models do you think its still far enough not to ruin our CC day?

To me, if the lower models hold, it will not arrive to CC area until about Thursday, you will be fine, as long as they still sail there, but I do not see why they wouldn't as it is about a week away, IF it even goes there.

Am I the only one who thinks this thing is just going to stay at sea? I'm going with the tracks that show it taking a curve and staying off land

Lets hope you are right, but the 6 tracks I see all aim towards the U.S. Anything can happen with a storm, just have to hope it pushes up North and fizzles out. The media in Miami are already starting to warn about it but it's just way too early to know where it will go. This thing is going to be big though, that is the only thing that appears certain. They have it as a cat 3 by Tuesday and local news in is saying a cat 4-5 by Thursday.
