That definitely helps with the understanding. My mom will be 67 next week and I swear she has more stamina than my brother and I on our trips (I'm 39 and brother is almost 33). She also hikes or bike rides several days a week now that she is partially retired. I get tired just listening to her relate what she did on her day off.
Unless your schedule is already pretty commando, I don't think you'll need to change anything. It's not going to be holiday crowd levels, but ride wait time may be higher than you anticipated. You can always rent a wheelchair if you think waiting in longer lines might be an issue. To be honest, my family did that for me once in my 20's when I injured my foot. Walking wasn't so bad, it was the standing and starting/stopping so we picked up a wheelchair for a day or two and I just sat through the lines.
Oops, sorry. I did mean Tuesday.Did you mean to say Tuesday? The parks are definitely closed tomorrow (Monday). I expect them to be open sometime Tuesday.
Exactly. I can guarantee that every person here making judgement on those that are sad or disappointed about cancelling their trip, have been sad or disappointed about something in their life that is trivial compared to what some else is going through.People can be sad about their trips even while other bad things are happening in the world. Just like people in Florida are allowed to be worried and sad about the storm even though they are unlikely to get it as badly as Barbuda or St Maarten.
Just a heads up. I see that you said it was a brown spider. Brown recluse spiders are prevalent here in the south. You do not want to be bit by one, adult or baby. They will leave a rotting hole. Those of us in the south kill them. No saving poisonous spiders.I kept wanting to scoop up all the ones I saw over the past couple days to keep them safe. But they're smart, when I went out earlier a bunch of them were hanging out in the center area of the hotel and on the stairwell. Most will be fine.
I'm at POFQ (evacuated) and the wind is insane. I feel like the door is going to burst open, I just put my cooler full of ice and water in front of it plus a chair. I'm freaked out.
Continuing prayers for my family and home in Tampa Bay.

The wind is not insane. Not yet anyway. I'm sitting on my porch with a beer, and we still have power.I'm at POFQ (evacuated) and the wind is insane. I feel like the door is going to burst open, I just put my cooler full of ice and water in front of it plus a chair. I'm freaked out.

We live in Tarpon Springs.Awww, hang in there. Where in the bay area? I'm in Riverview. Strong wind and rain, but we still have power.
Well to myself and my scared 10 year old from the room we are in, it is.Irma d

You made the right decision. I would have canceled too and our Disney vacations mean everything to us.I'm with you. Woke up Saturday morning a couple of hours before our early flight. Saw news was showing cat 3 over orlando so we finally cancelled. Now i am beating myself up. This was my 40th birthday celebration. We are having issues rescheduling due to limited availability. My wife wanted to go the whole time, it was really me that backed out. So i also feel responsible for ruining her vacation. We both have VERY stressful jobs, so this was something we both needed badly. Im so bummed.
Totally agree the worst is yet to come. Also agree it's not great out there. *So far* about the same as a bad thunderstorm... without the thunder.Well, it's gotten pretty bad out here where I'm at and the radio says the worst is yet to come. I'm "hunkering down" in my hallway with some couch cushions. Not expecting to get a lot of sleep tonight.
I'm 40, so I feel you! That said, I guess I should add that her doctor has been throwing around the words "knee replacement" for a bit now, so maybe that helps everyone understand my question better.![]()
Okay. As I said before, so far I find it no worse than a bad thunderstorm without the thunder.Well to myself and my scared 10 year old from the room we are in, it is.
