Hurricane Ida

Every time we get a bunch of snow, I freak out. However, I would much rather deal with a blizzard than a Cat 4 hurricane!

When NS had Hurricane Juan (Cat 2), that was traumatizing enough. Then bring on White Juan (that winter) and I thought how could it get any worse (no power/heat for at least a week in February?!) But, we still had our homes as protection and could BBQ for preparing food. These folks could end up with nothing.

I just watched a meteorologist from the National Hurricane Centre telling people to get out now. This storm is an absolute beast and expected to make landfall in the New Orleans area as a Cat4 at 130 miles an hour. He said it’s only strengthening as it moves toward land. It’s massive and will cause catastrophic damage
