Are you kidding me? Its November for craps sake!
"Isn't it lovely to be in Louisiana in November":rolleyes1

Yup, believe it or not, November is still officially hurricane season. It is very rare to experience a major storm this late in the season, but it is possible. Hopefully, Ida will weaken by Monday morning (the predictions are that she will) and by the time she makes landfall, will be downgraded to a tropical storm.

DD is supposed to fly back to Tallahassee tomorrow night. I hope she beats Ida. The current track has it gong across the panhandle of Florida through Tallahassee. I'm sure it will only be a tropical storm by that time, but it could still cause flight problems.

The good news is that Central Florida should get some rain out of the system. We really need it.

I turn 9 months pregnant this week. I am worried more about the pressure changes than the storm. I had my son a month early due to pressure changes, my water broke. This has been a complicated pregnancy. I am ready to have her I am just not sure she is ready to come yet. Either way, it should be interesting!

I remember one Thanksiving weekend when a huge hurricane hit the South Carolina coast and devasted Charleston. It was about 20 years ago, can't remember the name. When my son was 6(8 years agio), we were in Akumal south of Cancun on November 6th week. A category 5 was headed straight for us, stalled 150 miles offshore and finally turned south where it tore up Honduras - went all the way to the Pacific and bounced back through Honduras further destroying civilization. All diving, snorkeling and tourism came to an abrupt halt there for about 2 years.

remember a few years ago, there was a tropical storm that was around until January
