Hurricane help

"If a hurricane warning is issued by the National Hurricane Center for the Orlando area or for your place of residence no more than 7 days before your scheduled arrival date, you can call in advance to cancel or reschedule your Universal Parks & Resorts Vacations hotel accommodations and Universal Orlando theme park tickets without any cancellation or change fees imposed. Additional elements including air, car rental or other theme park tickets are separate and not part of this policy."

I don't get this -- one part says "Universal Orlando theme park tickets without any cancellation or change fee imposed" and then it says "additional elements..."... what are "other theme park tickets"

If it's before the 7 days ( so like next Friday) , tickets that aren't Universal tickets , Halloween Horror, VIP tours, Express passes, water parks, etc. They know you may not stay at Universal, and they're not going to be responsible for refunding your entire vacation including Disney, Sea World, or anywhere else.

Any update, Macraven? Have y'all kept power?

Looks like we may be able to arrive early tomorrow morning (before park opens). If we only lose one day of our 14th anniversary trip, I will consider that to be a fortunate break.

It looks like things are slowly opening back up. I can't help you because we be up coming home early. Universal was wonderful to us. I think all the parks will remained close for today. It looks like Disney springs is opening today at 5.

The pics and videos just coming out of St. Augustine and Jacksonville Beach look awful, but that's to be expected with the coast. We'll be coming down I-75 through Atlanta, although we have to head up I-95 next weekend to hit a junior golf tournament before returning home.

We never lost power at rpr
But cell reception did happen

Some texts I sent out did not get sent until hours later

It was not as bad as stated
I took videos of the wind and rain when it started early Friday morning

Sorry it has taken me this long to get back to answer your question

Been hitting the parks to make up for last time after the ban was lifted
