Here we go again, another hurricane. South Florida is currently in the path of Ernesto and school is already cancelled for tomorrow. Is anyone else as worn out by the storms of the last few years? Gas lines are long and people are swarming at the grocery store. :confused3 :sad2:

I feel your pain. I just moved from Palm Beach County a few weeks ago to Virginia. I cannot believe the forecast track I saw on the news earlier today. We got walloped by Wilma last year and there was still hurricane damage to the house I moved from in FL. We also had to move after we had roof damage from Jeanne and Frances the year before!! When does it end??? I will keep all of you in my prayers and hope the storm doesn't do much harm to anyone. I know a lot of people in the West Palm area still have tarps on their roofs!!

Has Palm beach County closed the schools? I know Miami-Dade has but I've not hear anything on PB.

Tired doesn't even begin to describe it. :sad2:

The nightmare has begun... The lines at the gas stations are ridiculous, some are already out of gas. I filled my vehicle this morning without crowds and aggravation. I also went to the store to get some more water and EARPLUGS! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 DH told me that I shouldn't get the gas containers filled for the generator, I know that I shouldn't be lifting something so heavy. He said that he'd take care of it "later". His exact words, "I'll go around 3 in the afternoon, it should be better by then." :confused3 I don't understand the logic behind that, but whatever! It wasn't crowded in the morning, but, since the track has shifted to the east, everything changed. It could have taken 10 minutes in the morning, but we all know that it's a lot more fun to sit in line for hours and then find out that there is no gas! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Yes, Palm Beach County schools are closed tomorrow. I cant believe we are going through this again.

Miami has closed schools Tuesday and Wednesday! At least the kids are happy, don't want this to be a downer for everyone!

We haven't gassed up the car either. My son is suppose to go and he hasn't. Oh well, guess we'll be stuck for the duration afterwards.

I should had gotten gas earlier, but I had groceries in my car (I do freeze 2-3 meats for the after the storm and ice) and didn't want to wait. Dumb, dumb, dumb....plus hot, hot, hot.

Maybe he'll get lucky later on.

lol-my DS10 is already asking if his friend can come over.....I'm like "what?" :confused3

He misses school, he works. My bathrooms could use a good cleaning. Then we still will have to catch the outside cats tomorrow, another good job. :teeth:

My DIL called this morning and told me that she was going to pick up extra produce and that my DS was making sure that the cars were full. They are very prepared, but I will worry until it is over. She was teasing me because even though I know Palm Beach is south FL, I still want to picture these storms far away from them.

Stay safe everyone!

I am supposed to leave for Palm Beach Wednesday!!! My sister is getting married this weekend, which is really a trival thing, But I have 5 stressed out sisters on my hands

Everybody stay safe!!
