Hurrican damaged hotel

Does anyone know which hotel on Hotel Plaza Blvd was the one that was severely damaged by a hurricane? I don't think it was open as of last year.

Don't know for sure if this is what you're referring to but the Holiday Inn (Downtown Disney) has been closed for a while and according to the website a $25 million makeover is being carried out there. It was supposed to be opening in the spring of this year but don't know for sure about that. Another site has moved the opening to the fall of 2009.

Assume at LEAST fall 09. Two weeks ago the hotel had NO lobby! They really haven't done much on this disaster LOL!

It is the Holiday Inn. As the previous poster mentioned it still isn't open.

As of last weekend, it still looks like a bomb went off in it! How in the world could anyone at HI Corporate think this could open by Fall 2009???

Isn't this the one that had the rooms going for $20.02 a night during 200?

I stayed somewhere for that price back then on Hotel Blvd.
That along with $39 each Southwest fares make a great budget trip for me that year.
