Hurray! It's raining in Maryland!

Finally! We're getting some rain. My area has only had 1.7 inches in the last 60 days. That's 5.5 inches below normal. (We're the only red Maryland county on this map: http://www.erh.noaa.gov/er/marfc/Maps/SOP_counties_60_color.htm)

We might get as much as 2 - 3 inches this weekend. Thank goodness. My yard is brown and the reservior (1/4 mile away) has been steadily shrinking.

What a relief!

You can have all of my rain. My front yard looks like a pond. We have had around 13 inches in the past few days.
