What are your opinions on the subject?

I personally don't see anything wrong with people who hunt, as long as they eat the animal. I think that the animals who are hunted live much better lives than animals that are raised for food, and they certainly lead a more natural life. Their meat is also more than likely much healthier than conventionally raised cattle and such. It's pretty much like eating organically raised meat.

I don't hunt and really could never see myself doing it, because I don't think I could bring myself to kill an animal (and I'm a terrible shot xD). But, I don't eat beef or pork because of the hormones and stuff they give them on farms (and how they're treated), but I would eat a deer or something that had been hunted.

I will refrain from further posting on this thread in order to not get into an argument which if i continue to post on this thread, i know will happen.

I support it for necessity, but absolutely no way in hell for leisure.

Up to the point when the bullet hits. Guns, bow and arrows are not natures way.

I know many people that hunt so if you do it to actually eat the food, then I'm okay with it.

But I'm being a hypocrit here because I fish on occasion, and even though we go out with the purpose to get fish to eat most of them we catch are too small to take back home.

I don't hunt much. But I have no problem with it. My dad goes hunting every Saturday morning. Garrett also does, his family is BIG on hunting.

I've only been a couple times, and I get bored with it. But I eat whatever is killed.

I love fishing on the other hand. I could do that all day long.

so long as what is killed is eaten end everything else is put to use. I like venison, but I dislike moose and bear. Venison jerky is delicious, too. And I have friends who use the pelts of some animals to line jackets and things. I approve of this because the animal is serving a purpose even after death.

my family is really big on hunting.
i see no problem with it as long as you eat what you kill.

Personally, I could never hunt. (Unless I absolutely had to)

But as long as you are hunting because you NEED the food, I don't have a problem with it.

trophy hunting is horrible...hunting for survival good

I'm against hunting for leisure.
Hunting for "survival" I'm completely for under the condition that all parts of the animal is used it some way, similar to the way Native Americans hunted for their food. Completely opposite shark finning.

::yes::::yes::::yes::

both.. in my opinion

Well, it's been my experience that many hunters who have heads on their walls use as much of the animal as possible. We've got a buck head on our wall at our camp, but I know that my uncle and grandfather had venison steaks for at least a few months.

Do you mean when people hunt just for the head/antlers and burn the meat, or even when people use the meat and pelt?

I hate that.
I can't even stand to look at those things.
They freak me out. D:

I love em. lol.
Garrett has like 3 in his room.

If I ever get any for my house, it won't be any that I or my husband kills and takes to the Taxidermy. I'll buy some.

I don't want to look at an animal everyday, that I killed. I'll think it's like plotting their revenge on me or something.
