Hi.

Now its nearly time to go DH is trying to plan and book our meals. :thumbsup2

We've already decided on Cafe Mickey (well DD has decided on this:rolleyes: ) but wondered if anyone had tried Hunter's Grill or Beaver Creek Tavern?

Wanted to try a few different palces to eat this time.

Thanks

We stayed at the Sequoia Lodge over Xmas week and ate at the Hunters Lodge on one of the nights we were there. It is served buffet style with a great range of starters, main course and desserts as well as a childrens section (chicken nuggets, chips etc). We thoroughly enjoyed the food, plenty for everyone's varied tastes and we found the meat selections tasty and nicely cooked. It is quite a noisy environment being a busy Hotel restaurant but no more than you would expect (after all it isn't Walt's!!!) but a very good meal and for quantity and all round family value, a good choice.

Thanks.

We've looked at quite a few places but there is far too much choice!!! :cool1:

We went in October 2007 (Santa Fe), and had 2 good menu/table served meals at Beaver Creek. The 2nd night wasn't planned but we ended up there as Blue Lagoon was fully booked and we were in a rush to get to Calais. We're planning on going again in April (SF or Cheyenne) and will definately eat at Beaver Creek one night.

As I say both meals were very nice, and reasonable too. The first time we were put on a table near the childrens play area which was a little difficult as there were some children not being supervised there and they started throwing the colouring crayons around. Oh how I wished they weren't English like us, but never mind. Had we been put near it the 2nd time I would have asked if it were possible to sit elsewhere but it never came to that.

Very nice restauraunt, and the waiters put up with me practising French without breaking into English which is nice as visits to DLRP are the only practise I get anymore!

We ate at the Hunters Grill during our trip in December 2007.
And I can not recommend it. The day before we ate at Cape Cod at the NPBC and for the same price this buffet restaurant was much better than Hunters Grill.
For us the range of food was not so good at Hunters Grill but much better at Cape Cod.

This was our second try for the Cape Cod. We ate there in October 2006 and back then their buffet was not so good. So you see things can change at the resort and everyone has a different taste.
We will give the Hunters Grill a miss on our next trip. ;)
