Anyone else notice the low-pitched hum through the shows this week? Pete, just making you aware that something changed.

I was just about to post the same thing. It occurs in both the FB-to-FB show and the discussion show.

I think this was from the ceiling fan believe it or not.

Not everyone heard it in their head phones but I could hear it. I guess it came through.

Im glad you said that! When i record my own music, or stuff, i always have the hum, and now i know how to fix it! You are the genius!

It's the ceiling fan. I'm having work done on my A/C system so it can get a little warm in the studio (especially with 6 people in there). So right now we had no choice but to turn the fan on. It was killing me while I was editing the show, but no one wants me sweaty during the show (not pretty). Work should be done before next show, so hopefully 'no hummmmmm' :)

I will take the hmmmmmmm over you guys being hot! Yuck!!

Thanks to the gang for going over the Pete's with no AC :confused3 just saying... :cheer2: :cheer2:

Yes noticed it this week and I have noticed it in the past. Glad someone brought it up. If it's not fixable I'll live with it. :)

I didn't notice until you guys mentioned it

I agree. I had some trouble with last week's shows too. The sounds was awful in the car this morning and I had to change the volume type on the stereo. It was still there, but it helped a little.

FYI, the Hum is at 60hz and doubled at 120hz (Overtone). Most of us are hearing the 120hz. Most Everyone is hearing a B2 (or C flat 2) on the Piano. You can notch this out using Audacity and a notch filter.

Here is a sample with the hum

Here is a sample with the hum removed

Way too much work - but impressive. Seriously, I reached for my audacity program to do the same thing only to find that it was apparently uninstalled when I "upgraded" to Window 7 RC.

Glad someone posted this. I thought it might just be me or my ipod. :)

It wasn't bad for me, just thought I was crazy hearing something.

I didn't hear a thing. I listened to this weeks shows on my blackberry with headphones and through the car stereo and didn't hear anything either time.
