Humidity = Mildew smell in camper?

The past two summers we've been down to the fort about midway through our 2 week stay our CLEAN clothes and bedding etc start smelling mildewy. Is there a cure for this or should we just smell bad and wash clothes more frequently?!

Are you in air conditioned camping equipment, or not?

I seriously hope you are not trying to get two or more days wear out of one outfit. Not in Florida & not in the summer time. That's just nasty.

Ha! No - we know better than to try to wear them more than once!! We still haven't figured out why we keep coming back in July!! We're in an air conditioned popup.

I find one pair of shorts and one Hawaiian shirt is more than enough for a 10 day stay at the Fort.

Are you keeping your Dirty clothes inside the camper? Are you running your A/C 24/7? We have stayed in our popup on long trips in the summer many times with the only stinky issue being me. DW bans me from the pop up and all is well. We run our A/C 24/7 and keep our dirty clothes in a mesh hamper out under the awning. We keep our shoes in a bin under the camper and use a clothes line to completely dry our swim suits and towels. The A/C will keep the humidity low and should keep everything from getting that damp feel and smell.

You could get a small dehumidifier or some damprid, that should take care of the problem.

Keep your A/C as low as you can stand it. Remember, you are not being charged KwPH!! With what Disney charges for a campsite, don't worry about conserving energy.

If you don't experience a mildew smell once you are home, you might just be sensitive to the mildew that naturally occurs in a Florida swamp. Yes, FtW is built on swampland, and does have a particular "aroma" to it.
