Sorry if this isn't the correct forum to post this on, looking through them doesn't appear to be many that this would be appropriate, have a mod move it if it isn't.

I've only been to Florida once, in June and the minute the door of the airport opened it felt like someone wrapped a wet blanket around every inch of my body. I'm from San Francisco we don't have that kind of humidity. A day later I had really bad sinus headaches/stuffy nose/the works, maybe the first few days of my trip horrible, however at the end things cleared up. I've since been told that there's a very good chance the humidity was what caused this.

Now I'm going again this January and want to be prepared so have some questions.
1) Is the humidity in January similar to that in June? I know temps will be much cooler, so perhaps that would affect things?

2) Assuming the sinuses go funky on me again, are there any tips to get over it ASAP? Drugs of choice perhaps? ;)

My body has gotten very spoiled in my life, because for this climate, hot is when it gets above 70, cold is when it gets below 60 :rotfl:

The humidity is still present, but definitely less in January.

Also, I recommend Affrin No Drip. It is a great sinus opener :)

January usually doesn't have the humidity. Sometimes it can get hot, we have been there in January and it was 87 degrees and then we have been there in February and it has about 34. But usually January is decent dry weather!

Wow, Google works fast, I searched for disneyworld humidity sinus and it came up as the top choice!

Thanks for the heads up, I rarely have sinus issues and when I do a chug o' green death flavored nyquil is usually more than enough to get me over it (in that I fall asleep then wake up some hours later feeling better), and as mentioned I don't know how to deal with humidity since we get none (relatively speaking). Although I would like to be somewhat conscious during the daytime hours when I'm in the parks :D

The humidity here in January is nothing like June. You'll find the most humidity in the morning around 7:00 am, and then it will decrease through the day.

What about November, we are about to leave and I had been wondering the same thing. Is November pretty bad for humidity and sinus crap?

I live in GA (another very humid place) and have sinus and allergy issues all year long. The one thing that has helped me the most and it has zero side effects is the Neti Pot.:thumbsup2 I know a lot of people say, "I could never do that" but trust me it is a lifesaver. It is a little weird at first but you will get used to it quickly. I really believe it also cuts down on getting colds. You can purchase one at CVS, Walgreens or Walmart (an probably a host of other places). They usually come with some saline packets but buy extra.
I took one to a friend last summer that lives in NC...she always has had sinus issues. It took me all day to convince her to use it but now...she is a believer. A true lifesaver if you suffer from sinus congestion, headaches and allergies. I use it daily, usually 2xs a day (you can use it more) and I always take mine to WDW and I use it daily. It is safe for kids too...but they need their own. Don't share your neti pot. :goodvibes

My DS has really bad allegeries and we always go the end of August without incident. I bring his prescriptive medicine and make sure he takes his doses a few days before we leave, so it is in his system when we arrive. In the parks, I carry a nasal spray, so he can use it if he feels too stuffy. We also hit the A/C areas alot too. Dry air in there also helps cool him.

We have gone in February, and there is not as much humidity. Very nice most of the time. Generally cool, especially at night.
