Hulk - Short Rehab Coming Up

I know that CoasterFev made a brief mention of this, but Hulk will be closed for a few days for some rehab work. The tentative schedule, subject to change, is to be down starting Monday, September 10th.

Just a heads up. And, no need to ask why, we don't discuss those things. Nothing's being changed, just maintenance work.

Any idea as to how long the "few days" will last? We will be at IOA on Sept 14 and Sept 23. Do you think we might have luck on either of these days? Thanks.

It should be at least two days, but there are some variables. Depending on how those go, it could be a little longer. It won't really be known until they get into it.

by my thoughts this is great- the hulk never breaks down but when it does it really swamps all the other rides. this is a good thing. I guess they did maintaince on ice when that was down couple months ago?

No, no, no, no...I too will be there September 13 and ready to ride! I do understand safety issues so be it, I will have to deal with it.

The coaster is strictly closing for some annual preventative maintenance. Unfortunately, with all rides there is some regular maintenance that just can't be done during an overnight.

The Monday start date is to insure, depending on any "variables" that come up during the work, that the ride is back in operation by the weekend!

PLEASE OH PLEASE tell me the Sept. 10th date WON'T be changed to an EARLIER date... say.... Sept. 7th ? (Friday- the day I arrive ... I am bringing someone who has NEVER been to FLA. and all their magnificent themeparks... and that is ALL I haved bragged about is the HULK!!!) Any more info on other rides and rehabs would be greatly appreciated!!

Just wanted to confirm - we received word today:

The Incredible Hulk WILL be closed beginning on Monday, September 10th.

The goal is to complete all work and test cycling by Wednesday morning - with the coaster open to guests by mid-day Wednesday, September 12th. If all goes well (with nothing unusual appearing during the maintenance period) - the plan will hold true!

Expect to see signs/A-frames stating the closure at the front gates Sunday morning.

Again, apologies to anyone visiting these two days who planned on riding the Incredible Hulk - hope this information may help you rearrange your trip to include this outstanding coaster!
