Lily was hosting when I went in, she was funny and sweet as usual! But one thing did disturb me and kind of reassure me at the same time. A player asked if "taken" is allowed, to me astonishment she said taken is just fine (groan) as long as it doesn't go further than hugs (yeah hugs are ok)!! Of course we all know that the hosts do not always agree on these things...hmm. Wonder if they ever get together and discuss the rules?

Hi guys,

I just needed to clear up Hula does NOT live in Hawaii. (That's not saying where she DOES live so I think that's ok to say)

She has always had internet connection and power issues. Many times her computer bogs down to the point she has to restart or it spontaneously restarts without her.

One night her charger wouldn't charge her computer (She uses a laptop) so she actually had to run out and try to find a charger that would work for her computer because she was scheduled to work that night.

It could be that her charger quit working again or simply that her power went out where she lives.

I hope she doesn't mind me saying these things-they're things I've heard while in her room-there were always other people present so I figure they're ok to share. I haven't seen any hosts or VMK staff members in like 2 months. LOL

I'm a witness to this as well. I'm guessing VMK/Disney doesn't supply the staff with computers so they have to use their own? If not, I mean enough is enough...the poor girl Must be so frustrating for her.

From what I can gather, yes they use their own stuff. She even bought a new computer!

Through another connection I also found out that they really aren't paid all that much. I don't know what their pay rate is, but I was told it was almost laughable.

I always think of that when I see people swarming and harrassing staff members. They're like the moderators of these boards. People who enjoy the game and all the things in it with extra privileges.

Moderators are this, staff are paid employees doing a job. (clarifying this point for all, not specifically towards GB.) Not sure why people don't understand that it's real work.
