Ok, I've been to Disney like well I have visited more times than I can count.
So I know the parks inside and out...
I also like checking out these boards to get and leave advice but I have trouble understanding some of you. You abreviate everything!
MVMCP, MNSSP, BBB, DD, ect...I have no idea what you people are refering too sometimes.
It wouldn't be so bad if you spelled out the words once then abreviated it later.
I mean it's like trying to read foriegn language sometimes. Catch a few words a stop and try to think what they are talking about.
Is there anywhere on these boards that lists out what these abrevaitions mean?

MVMCP is Mickey's very merry christmas party

MNSSHP Mickey's not so scary halloween party

BBB is bibbity bobbity boutiqe

DD is downtown disney

I think there is a sticky maybe that has all the abbreviations

First off... Robo, I know you have a stock answer for this one!

Secondly, hang around, you will eventually learn them all. I've been on here for 7 years and still hit some I don't know or have to take a minute to figure out. Usually if in context they are pretty easy to figure out.

MVMCP, MNSSP, BBB, DD

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, bibbity bobbity boutique, and I'm guessing Downtown Disney (context could help on that one)

But now you know those at least.

Oh wait, DD usually means Disney Daughter or Darling Daughter.

You'll see that a lot "Me, DD, 2DS and DW" Translation "me, daughter, 2 sons and wife"

On the "Welcome to the Dis" board, there is a 'sticky', which gives a list of common abbreviations.:goodvibes

There is a sticky with the list of abbreviations on the "Welcome to th DIS." It's just easier than writing everything out. I still have to go there everyone once in a while.

I have been here a week now and I am catching on to all the lingo quickly, it gets easier to where you don't have to think what stuff means you just know.

Here is a site that helped me at first

www.stitchkingdom.com/acronyms

This one needs to add RD for Rope Drop. That one had me so confused in one post. I think it was something like "Where should I stand for RD at MK?" I was trying to figure out what attraction or show was RD.

Could be further abbreviated to "WSISF RD@MK" right? :) :) :)

For a bunch of people who love to vacation in a place as energy driven as Disney World, we sure are a lazy bunch when we're at home! Or better said, FABOPWLTVIAPAEDADW, WSAALBWWAH!

I agree w/the previous poster that you'll catch on...it took me awhile to get all the abbreviations, but what's really scary is I talk out loud like that to my husband (dh) who thinks it's hysterically funny that I'm such a disney dork. If I say Disney employee he'll say don't you mean "CM" and of course he uses the air quotes. Loser.

Anyway, I saw one on the dining review board that I've never seen and have absolutely no idea what it means...
IIRC...anyone? Bueller??

If you see a post by bradk, he'll have a link to his abbrevation list. It's pretty thourough.

The DIS has a list somewhere...eta: found it! http://www.wdwinfo.com/abbreviations.htm

I know what you mean. DH was looking at our plan once and asked me, "What the hell is wuh wuh ta bam?" It took me a second, but I quickly realized what he was looking at and replied, "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire." WWTBAM.

Help me out..I thought DD was Darling (Disney) Daughter and DTD was Downtown Disney.

Anyone??
