Huge mistake

My husband and I own a timeshare in Orlando. The week that we own is week 47 (normally Thanksgiving week). For some reason I pulled out my calendar and realized that this year and next year, week 47 is after Thanksgiving. You talk about being disappointed . Especially since my bags have been packed for three weeks and I ordered that bag that was mentioned on the other thread. No, we can not go the week following. I'm a teacher and I must be in school. I am scrambling to make alternate plans. I haven't been since June. If I don't go in November, I will be experiencing serious withdrawls.

I will come up with something or else.

you can always go to a value resort that week....that way you won't get a withdrawal.

I would agree with disneychickforever, go for a value or a mod the week of Thanksgiving. I would hate to see a teacher go thru Disney withdrawals!

Not sure how this all works, but on my Outlook calendar Thanksgiving is in Week 47. Do the timeshares not start counting with 1/1? I hope, either way, that you can still get the trip in the week you want!

We have the opposite occurance. We own week 46 and this year and next OUR week falls on Thansgiving. I would never want to travel during a peak travel week, so we always trade our week when it falls on Thanksgiving and get better trade power than normal. Sorry you were caught off guard, and I'm glad you worked something out so you can still have the kind of vacation you were looking forward to.
