Huge mistake! Took DW to see VGF models

Congratulations, Mike. Once again you are the model husband. . We are staying at VGF for NYE and really looking forward to seeing it. Maybe we'll add on more too.

BTW, where did you find the VGF banner for your signature? I can't seem to find one anywhere.

I want a tote!! Do you only get one when you sign all the contracts then and there or can I be expecting one once the contracts are all signed?

We added on 40 VGF points and the tote came in the mail when the papers to sign came.

DH said the there must be something in the box besides the papers...it was larger than necessary. I can"t wait to use the tote!

i thought the same thing.....if I were home, I'd take a picture and upload here, of our storage of luggage/bags....ridiculous! Could've been a collectors item, weaved from Egyptian cotton....no room for it!!! Lol

We didn't get a tote for our initial VGF contracts - just the latest two.

Perhaps it is a return to the prior policy of always giving them out. I recall getting the old beige tote bags with 25-point add-ons.

I considered it, but decided I would rather have the flexibility of owing multiple smaller contracts at VGF.

I now own three 60-point, one 25-point, and two 58-point contracts at VGF. Having my points split across six contracts allows me to dial up or down my VGF ownership without having to sell a fixed week.

I still think I will get the accomodation I want for the date I want at the 11-mo window.

We've stayed at the Grand Floridian hotel before - our longest stay was for 9 nights - and it's DW's favorite resort. No way am I going to need to sell them.

When she saw the model rooms in person (the photos don't do them justice), she immediately said "Wow, we need more VGF points".

Our first stay is Sunday, followed by December, and again in March.

I went over to the Magic Kingdom today. A lot of folks are dressed up for Halloween.

Anyway, I decided to take the boat over to the Grand Floridian. I walked through VGF and was impressed with the grounds and the lobby. I'm looking forward to our check-in on Sunday.

The elevator on the right is still missing the parasol for the floor indicator. Sad.

I continued on to the Poly and took a look at the new DVC construction on the point. They are really moving forward! I wouldn't want to be a Poly guest and have to listen to the beep-beeps of the tractors.

I think the one thing that is keeping me in check is the thought of a possible polynesian dvc.

LOL, I just spent 5K on my dog. he needed eye surgery. His name is Hobbes and we are thinking of renaming him "Floridian". I keep thinking of the points I could have brought with that dough.

Oh I have looking for your trip photos, yours are even great on your phone. Are you posting pictures somewhere else? Ok so I save your pictures to just look at every once in awhile to remember the good things.

I'm curious. Do you have the same guide? Does your guide still try to sell you on the "benefits" of DVC (such as trading out to RCI, etc.)? Or do they see you coming and start filling out the paperwork right then?

We've had the same guide all along - Maribella Q. My DW calls her "my second wife", as I've added on over 30 contracts with her since my first contract. She knows I know all about DVC, so she doesn't talk about the program or the benefits with me. I just tell her how many points broken out in "n" number of contracts, and she takes care of the rest.
