huge increase in costs of flights?

For trips to LA, Las Vegas, out of Newark and Philadelphia, also check Virgin America. I am taking them in 2 weeks to EWR to LAX. I think it was $169 each way when I booked (nonstops).

I usually use PHL though, it is just less $$ and a very easy airport to drive to.
