I just spoke to a CM, booking with a pin code to hold til free dining. He told me free dining is now available to Disney Visa members. Just became available. If this has already been mentioned sorry. Sunday or Monday for non-pass holders. Yippee. He confirmed this with the head of guest services that was on staff tonight. They told me to wait til then to book because they are quite sure of this.

no April fools. I can't believe I didn't ask more questions, like what dates. I also didn't ask if it could be value. But get on the phone and book if you have a card. He said first night or $200. deposit must be made with card at time of booking.

I'm really not kidding. Make a phone call. The CM said it just came out tonight. Before he told me about this he said there was going to be a big code special coming up soon. I don't know if this is what he was talking about but I don't think so since you don't need a code for this. Just call CS and ask them if you can book free dining with your Dis Visa. Otherwise get ready to make your ressies on Sun. or Mon. for non-card holders.

i can't believe nobody believes me. I can't promise as I've heard of different people hearing different things from cm's. But he definitely told me this so it's worth a phone call. When i called it said there was high phone volume but I didn't wait 5 minutes.

The number I called and got the info from wasn't the visa number. It was 407-939-7739, the number on my postcard. He didn't say I had to call another place to book. I'm really not in the know enough to have thought of this as an April fool's joke. I called to book with my pin code and found out I had missed it. My card expired yesterday. I thought it was good til today. When I was upset that I couldn't get the discount I asked if there was anything else on my name. He asked if I was a card holder and then told me the above info. Damn. I had knowing something and nobody believing me. I never get to be the one to break news.

I just called the number. You're right, closed. I didn't know they closed so early. I hate to say this but I"d call as soon as they open tomorrow. I know it will mean getting up early, sorry. I hope I'm right as I'll feel really bad if people get up at 6:45 to call and the guy was wrong.

Yikes. I've been a member since '99 though. I posted alot more in my early days. Now I only post on the CB unless I'm planning a trip, which I am the last week in Aug./Sept. Mother daughter trip with my college grad dd.
I don't think of myself as in the know because I don't belong to any cliques. I never know what alot of people are talking about.

While it is possible that Disney may release another discount, and not the free dining, we fully expect to see the free dining released on April 10 to the general public. Expect the following time line:

April 7, 2008 - Free dining to be released to Disney VISA cardholders
April 10, 2008 - Free dining to be released to the general public
So it is possible they are getting ready to release it!

Tigs not joking y'all. I called tonight and got free dining, for 21 days, and they let me use a 40% code, AND a AAA discount PLUS they upgraded my basic ticket to an AP. Afetr it was all said and done and we got to the 'How would you like to pay for that" part of the call, well lans sake! They owed ME money for coming there. They said the check's in the mail. Y'all better call soon.
