huge dissapointment. what should i have done?

hey so day 2 of our weeklong stay i was getting off soarin. took some cool pics of that line que before the ride, put the camera in my pocket. came out and tried to take a pic of the land and there was a big black spot on my camera

i looked all over and asked tons of people, no one seemed like they were able to clean my camera on short notice. thats what i get for buying a PHD sony. so was there a better solution? im still really upset most of my pics were ruined -- with a brand new 350$ camera.

looks like a dust speck to me. It shouldn't be in a point and shoot camera.

im pretty sure its dust, but its on the inside of the optic so i couldnt get at it.

Oh that stinks! Maybe you can get it out with some post processing? As long as the spec isn't in an obvious place. In the picture above you should be able to get that out. Let us know how the cleaning goes!

I use Photoshop CS, but I only use it to do minor cropping and adjusting levels. I don't know much about image manipulation. Dznefreek is THE ONE. Him and We-Luv-Disney.

OK - I'm pretty picky and I've looked at the pic and don't see a black spot? Are my eyes getting to be that bad, that I've missed it completely - and my guess is that Dznefreek cleaned it up and reposted it!! so now I'm really looking in vain!!!LOL

I guess when I first looked it over my brain processed it as part of the shadowing of the rocks!! I now know I'm overdue for my eye exam!!!LOL Nice clean up job Dznefreek!

look at the blonde guy with short hair and go straight up. Then look at the first guy on on the right in the coaster and go right. where the vertical and horizontal imaginery lines meet it is just above it.
