Taking our 2 teenage girls in July. We love Hubby/Dad, Hubby/Dad LOVES all things breakfast...us, not so much! Haha! We would rather be at parks and grab a yummy lunch later. So, we want a great breakfast ressie for our favorite man. We have only done The Wave (which was great) , hoping for something that might have breakfast and non Breakfast food? Suggestions?

Maybe consider booking a character meal around transitional time between breakfast and lunch. You will get the best of both meals and everyone gets something they like. We think the Tusker house has a nice buffet. There are also a few brunch options that would give you the best of both meals. For a pure breakfast meal for dad, we like Kona Cafe at the Polly.

I totally forgot that we did Kona and loved it!! Great idea on transition time.! We happened upon that accidentally at Tusker House, I forgot that too! Do other buffets have this too?

We love Whispering Canyon, Trails End and 1900 PF for breakfast! Especially the two buffets offer a wide variety of food for the breakfast and non breakfast lovers :) plus the antics at WCC are fun and the characters at 1900!

At Any buffet that does not close down between breakfast and lunch you would see this transition. I'm not sure which ones do.

The Grand Floridian Cafe has a combo breakfast/lunch menu. DH got a caesar salad with shrimp while I got an omlet when we went for lunch on our last visit.

As @ncc1701 said Grand Floridian is a great option. Their breakfast items are great and around 10 they switch to some savory options as well. And I'd vote for Kona too, its definitely our favorite place on property.

You may also enjoy either Tusker House or Boma. Both are great buffets and have a mix of sweet and savory items

The Crystal Palace is great if you hit hit around 10:30. That should get you to the transition part. Love the breakfast buffet!

I agree with maxiesmom about 10:30 at Crystal Palace. We did that this past November and it was perfect because they started switching one side of the buffet to lunch. We could chose from breakfast and lunch which was great for my fussy group.:)

Please tell your DH that we are on his team! We all love a big breakfast so much, for us part of the vacation at WDW is the amazing breakfasts! So let me say, as a breakfast enthusiast, that you probably can't go wrong with almost any sit down dinner at WDW!

We loved the all you can eat skillet breakfast at Whispering Canyon Cafe, Kona and O'hana are great and we loved 1900 Park Fare, and Crystal Palace for buffets. And characters! Win/win!!

Whatever you do for him, I am sure he will be very happy, and very full! Enjoy!!

IMHO, Hubby should load up on breakfasts before you leave and you should take advantage of early morning touring. Unless you have young kids who want to enjoy and character breakfast the time is better spent in the parks.

We go for multiple days and will rope drop most of them. We go 2 times a year so get plenty of park time. Hubby is such a trooper to do it all "my way", I want to make sure he gets his breakfast time in too! He takes the kids and I for our vacation, but I want it to be filled with little things he loves too! Like Breakfast

It is possible to do both. Just have the breakfast later on. That is what we do, hit the parks at open and have breakfast sometime after 10 am.

Why can't they do both? I have never understood why a family vacation does not include a compromise so everyone's wants are considered.

OP-the transition times previous posters have suggested are a solution to the breakfast/lunch problem, but you can also take advantage of the resort CS restaurant before you head to the parks. My family is a diverse bunch when it comes to breakfast. My daughter has to have a real meal at breakfast and on vacation, my DH does as well. Me, DSIL and my DGD? Not so much. CS breakfast meals are quick, so it really is not that out of the way to hit the counter service in your resort so you DH can have a hot full breakfast. We do this all the time. Your family stays together, and you all can eat or not, depending on what you prefer.

I also wanted to tell you I get that breakfast thing. When we travel with my DH he wants breakfast. Now at home he never eats in the morning, and on his coffee break the man gets honey buns, coffee cake, donuts, apple fritters,......if it is pastry, he loves it! Vacation? Eggs, bacon, toast, home fries......I booked CLub Level a few times thinking that we could use the lounge for a meal in the morning but each time we had a mutiny after two days. He "needed" real food. LOL! But I'll tell you, because vacation is about family, when he is with us, if he wants breakfast, we get breakfast. The parks will be there when we get there, but there is no way that I would diminish my DH by telling himself IASW matters more than he does. You can make it work and still make sure everyone gets considered.
