So last year DH (at the time DF) DD8, DS7(almost) and I had our first trip as a family. We rented DVC points from someone on here (great experience!), did the dining plan and bought tickets from Undercover Tourist. Great!

A couple weeks ago hubby made a deal, we go to Disney again sooner rather than later and he gets to start socking away funds to rebuild his Camaro....UH YES please! He says these are the dates 6/20-6/26, and this is where I want to stay and why. Uh wow this from he who was not overly enthusiastic about our trip last year (it interrupted his world cup watching) he tells me the price he is looking at it being and I nearly cracked up laughing.:lmao: I told him I could cut that down by several hundred dollars at least. He does not believe me.:sad2:
He wants to
Stay: POR- Royal Guest Room Garden View
Do: 3 Day PHWP&M Tickets with a (2 Adults 2 kids)
Dining Plan: The 1 table 1 counter service plan
Came out to something like :scared:4100.:scared1:

I called found out I had a pin! (YAY! A FIRST!):banana::banana::banana:
I got quotes for all the mods and there is about 400 dollars difference between POR and Coronado I'd choose cheaper but hes the one going to be spending the most time at the resort so not enough to worry about.

I wanted to do the Y.E.S program last year but we only had 3.5 days and I just could not make it happen. This year, with more time its worth the significant (About $500) difference in price since he wants just a basic 3 day ticket and the kids and I want 4 day PHWP&M tickets and with YES you can mix up what you buy!
So basically I can get us there for between 3300 and 3500 tickets dining and resort. :woohoo:
But:furious::furious::furious: No! He can't just let me work my magic!!!!! He has to call and spend time on the phone with them during tax season, get all frustrated cause he does not know the terminology, or the right questions to ask, leading to incorrect answers because he asks the wrong thing!!!!! It's tax season he needs to just focus on getting people their refunds and let me handle the trip planning....GRRRRRR!!!:furious::furious::furious:>:(

I have an accountant for sale cheap...... any takers??:scratchin

I really don't mean this to sounds as snarky as it might come across, but I'm confused as to what the issue is. Your husband wants to spend more money than you do?

He is freaking out that he spent 4 hrs on the phone today trying to get answers to his questions and then complaining about it since its his busy season.... and yes I want to keep it lower cost, to me it makes more sense to do that.

Have you tried telling him you can get the same resort, with the dining plan and an extra day of tickets for more with YES for less than he thinks? Maybe he really has his heart set on the royal rooms at POR? I can't blame him, there are certain resorts I have no interest in staying at...Coronado is wonderful I am sure but it is one I'd probably choose last. All about compromise ;)

I can trade you an accountant for an attorney. Mine finds legal reasons why we can't do anything fun.

OMG this made me spit my water out LOL I will trump you both with a baseball card collecting sports freak for trade... not to mention Legos and whatever else he can collect... oh trains....

He did not have his heart set on the Royal rooms, he wanted a standard room; there were none left that could be booked with our pin code. We've booked CSR, which after reading a bunch of reviews I'm kind of uhhh maybe we need to look at other options... but we have our deposit down so at least there is that! :) Its just the frustration of him saying "I spent XX number of hours on the phone with them today, got hung up on, ect, I don't have time for this!" I know you don't honey, you're working 7 days a week and super behind. You go process refunds so people can pay for their Disney trips, and I'll plan our trips, and everyone will be happy! :)

Oh I'd take a sports freak in general any day ;)
