Hubby is considering BLT add on

We are nuts, I tell you, nuts!! We bought SSR and are taking our first trip in a few weeks. My husband says that he wants to buy into BLT with the 50 point option now. Our plan was to wait until we had SSR paid off. I think he just crossed over to being more of a fanatic than I!!
So, we're going to pay it a visit while we're there this month and see what happens. We love love love the fact that it's on the monorail loop. We've always wanted to stay close and we understand the importance now that we have a little one - sure would be nice to be just a monorail drive away from the MK!

Be very careful because it is very hard to cure! I was hit by it really hard and within the first year of my initial buy-in added on 2 more times.

would go for 60 points - then you can get at least a studio in the off season for 5 nights. (standard view)

We bought at AKV on November 2007 and just purchased at BLT. It is easy to get add-on-itis! Before becoming DVC members, we always stayed at the Contemporary because we loved being so close to MK. It is definitely a dream come true for us to now call it "home"!

Be very careful because it is very hard to cure! I was hit by it really hard and within the first year of my initial buy-in added on 2 more times.

The first year or two are really tough ... many times people think they need more points so they add-on. The reality is that the travel habits in the first 24 months when things are 'new and fresh' are typically more frequent than in the later years (another reason why there might be so many SSR resales).

Some people go 4,5, or 6 times in a year after the purchase ... which for most isn't sustainable. If they add-on based on that short-term trend, they may find themselves with a bunch of extra points.

Of course, I know first-hand that addonitis is tough to beat. We added on our first year, second year, third year ... it's like an annual thing for us ... we seem to buy more and more points every year.

We just toured the BLT model unit on Friday and it's outstanding! We had been on the fence before this, but addonitis is catching!!

Oh, I know how your DH feels. First you start looking at all the room model videos and then you start in with the calculator and the point charts! Addonitis sometimes cannot be stopped.

I even called a very good friend of mine who is an Ear, Nose & Throat physician and he was quizzing me about BLT. Even my doctor has it!!
