A few of you knew that Dh started taking an intense course of driving lessons in May.Well today he passed his Practical Test.I am so proud of my Hubby :love: :banana: :love:.

As an ex-driving instructor I know how much these things mean to people.
I guess he has a few years worth of Designated Driver to catch up on now Michelle?

My Dear Nan+Grandad are giving us £1,000 towards our car :love:.
The girls are so excited+thought we were going to go and get a car as soon as he got back yesterday :laughing:.
Dd4 has now said Daddy can drive her to the park instead of her walking-it's only a 5min walk away :rotfl:.

We picked our car up late yesterday afternoon :cool1:.
We have gotten a Vauxhall Astra Merit Hatchback,metallic green,5 door,P Reg-12yrs old,in a fantastic condition inside+out,MOT until Mar 2010,Taxed until Nov+cost £600(which my Dear Nan+Grandad paid for :love:)
The biggest shock was the insurance--£978.20 :scared1: :eek:.

We are so happy+keep looking at it on the drive :laughing:,as it does'nt feel like ours,the girls are estatic :banana:.
I actually came downstairs at 2-30am,to check it was still there :lmao:.x.

I could'nt believe some of the prices coming up on these compare websites.
I phoned the AA as i have home insurance with them,when the guy asked how long has hubby held a licence for i said since yesterday(as i rang on Monday)-he laughed at me :laughing:,they wanted £1,730 :eek:.
Equity was the dearest at £2,220 :scared1: :scared1:.x.
 
Those are crazy prices!! I wonder how much they charge young new drivers. :confused3
