So what exactly is storybookland? What are the minature things you are looking at? Are you on a train viewing them?

Storybookland Canal Boats is in Fantasyland. They're tour guided boats thru the little villages of miniatures, each representing different fairy tales......Cinderella, Mr Toad, Aladdin, etc. At Christmas time they add little wreaths, garlands, poinsettias, etc. They used to go thru this nice & easy, but now it seems like we're speed boating through it. I've noticed that on the Jungle Cruise too. If you ride the Casey Jr Train, you can see some of the miniatures as you travel by them.

I enjoyed the Ariel ride...the only thing that bugs me is the people characters look like plastic.....but everything else looks really neat.

I'm not sure what it is with headphones, but they are painful to wear....not physically but something internally in the ear that can't tolerate them. When I did the Walk in Walt's Footsteps in 09, our tour guide still spoke up, so I could hear him without listening thru the headphones. This gal was soooooooo quiet.....I guess that don't want non-paying guests to benefit from hearing the information that's being discussed on these tours.

I love wrapping gifts!! Is Scotty off early or does he go in late? I remember Mike working Christmas....it sucks!

The Disneyland Game for the Xbox or a board game? I hope they come out with a version for the Wii......that's all we have. Ok, the boys have an Xbox (I think) I got to go to Disneyland as my Christmas present!!

I would have never guessed you were a gamer!! Good for you!! We got the Wii over a year ago & hardly use it....the kids use it way more than Mike & I. (we bought it for us)........I'm not sure I want to go into debt, buying another game system......eventhough they're phasing the Wii out now!!! Spend $500 getting a nice set up to find out a year later that they're going to stop making games for it........AWWWWWWKKKKKKKK!!!!

I would have never guessed you were a gamer!! Good for you!! We got the Wii over a year ago & hardly use it....the kids use it way more than Mike & I. (we bought it for us)........I'm not sure I want to go into debt, buying another game system......eventhough they're phasing the Wii out now!!! Spend $500 getting a nice set up to find out a year later that they're going to stop making games for it........AWWWWWWKKKKKKKK!!!!

Santa was very nice to the kids....and they were all smiles....not even sad that we weren't doing presents from us & their siblings. (which we'll probably be on New Years Eve).

The twins got a guitar & a bongo drum (toddler toys), magna doodle boards & a cash register & shopping cart. They're having a blast this morning!!

Addy got a Barbie car, Tangled sketching light up board & a ballerina jewelry box with a couple bracelets/necklaces inside.

Anthony got a lego transformer set, a Cars sketching light up board & a Darth Vader Lego alarm clock.

It was a fun morning & now the dinner preparation has begun. Since we didn't do Thanksgiving because we were working on the old place.....tonight we're finally getting our Turkey dinner!! We'll do our ham dinner on New Years Eve.

So there's a Disney game for the Wii then?? I'm not very good at the game thing.....but we do have the Toy Story Mania for the Wii that's fun to play.

Merry Christmas Ladies! Laurie I am enjoying your trip report and pictures. Did anyone catch the Disney Parks parade this morning? During the last few minutes they talked about this year being a leap year and extra magic for the parks in 2012 to be announced on Dick Clark's New Years Eve show. There was a website mentioned but I missed it. Anyone catch this or TIVO the parade?
