Hubby got a Camera & I got Christmas!!! 51 Chapters Completed!! 926 Pics!

:rotfl: You know, I've never gotten a Mickey pretzel.....what's up with that?? I like pretzels!!!

Of course I'm not a fan of the churros......I'm in the minority on that one.

:scared1: You have to try a pretzel next time you go! They are warm and gooey and sooo good with the cheese sauce to dip in. The cream cheese ones are rather disappointing however.

The churros have changed. I know it had been almost 13 years between my trips, but those were the one things I remembered clearly. They used to be warm and kinda gooey. Now they are kinda hard and crunchy. Not as good. I still like them though.

I think I will try one when I go next month and let you know if there is a difference.

Sounds good!!!

I'm don't like cream cheese, so I wouldn't get that one anyways......lol But, I do need to get the regular kind.

The first thing my family and I did when we went on our one and only Disney trip together, was go to the coke corner and get a pretzel and a coke and sat down to plan out where we were going to go first. It brings back good memories, so I always make a point to go there now and get a pretzel and a coke. :)

That's awesome!! :thumbsup2

I agree. You'll love the Mickey Pretzels. My sister loves them as well as my friend Jordan. She loves it with cheese.

I'm glad you got pictures of those little trees in DTD - the "business" trees, I think you called them. I had not seen them and I wondered exactly what they were all about because I had walked around DTD in the daytime on 12/4 and 12/5, and I saw a sign that mentioned the tree contest they were having in DTD. Supposedly they wanted people to vote on the tree that they liked best. But I saw no trees near the sign so I couldn't vote. Maybe they just put them out for nighttime, or somehow I overlooked them. Seeing your photos now helps clear up that confusion. (I like the glowy blue-ish tree the best.)

I did walk through DTD with my friends on the evening on 12/5 too, but I still didn't see the little trees! I must not have looked in the right area because I don't know how I could have missed them!

They were to the left of the big DTD tree......did you get that far down?? Across from the ESPN Zone........DLH was the backdrop if you faced it. The trees were cute, but they had it roped where you couldn't get close to them. So night time shooting made it hard to get a good picture. When I went by them after our breakfast at GK......they were tented up still.....so no daytime shots.

Yep - we walked right by there on our way to Goofy's Kitchen and on our way back from Goofy's Kitchen, at night on 12/5. I saw no trees. I'm sure I would have noticed all those trees glowing in the night because it was new to DTD this year, I think. Or my friend Shawn would have noticed them. I saw no signs about it last year. So either they were tented up when my group and I walked by, or they were in such a spot that somehow we all would have missed them.

thanx. I had been wondering the same thing as Sherry. I came home and read about the trees and was frustrated that I had not seen them. My husband and our little girls spent a couple of nights at the ESPN zone. I have to ask him if they saw them.

I liked Tortilla Joe's in February. Their nachos are just not as good as the ones at White Water Snacks. Or at least I didn't think so.

They were kinda hidden by the main BIG tree, the tent went around the back & side & then at night, they closed down the front as well. So it's highly possible you saw the big tree & a bit of the tenting but totally missed the trees inside the tented area.

See above response.....lol

I don't think I personally could agree....just because I'm not a fan of canned nacho cheese. Also we had the table-side guacamole to enjoy with them & it made them quite delicious!!

I did try the WWS nachos this trip & they were ok......but not something I'd plan on going back so I could have them again. If I'm there & the nacho mood hits, I would order them again.....but I think out of the 3 places I've had nachos.....I think the Lobster Nachos at the Cove Bar would be first, followed by Tortilla Joe's & then WWS. That would be my personal preference of them.

I agree with the nacho cheese bit. It's okay, but I would much prefer to have shredded cheese than a cheese sauce for nachos.

I'm so bummed we didn't have time together INSIDE the park...but I'm so thankful for the time we did get. I will say, I've discovered the battery saving mode on my phone by turning down the brightness. I was taking too many pictures though with my phone too early on in the day and texting back and forth to Chris so it drained my battery fast. Your pictures in your TR Laurie are so amazing. I'm so sad I didn't take many....it just felt odd this trip not being with a Disney lover ya know.

Me too!!

Me too, but as long as we did get to spend some time together, I was happy!!! I lucked out on the cell battery thing......I had a spare, thanx to my phone being a piece of crap......they thought it was a battery issue, so they sent me a new one....well it wasn't the battery, it was the lemon phone I had...so prior to the trip, I got the new battery & then a new phone.....so I had both batteries to keep one as a spare....worked great! Otherwise my phone would have been dead early in the day too.

Bummer you didn't feel like you could stop to take pics while hanging with Karen. You do want the person your with to be just as excited about the place as you are. Mike's mom has gone twice with us & she's not a huge fan, but tolerates it......changes the mood for the entire trip because she isn't feeling the love like we are!

I had shredded cheese on mine in February, I also thought the chips at WWS were better.
