Hub Construction update please...

Anyone been to the parks in the last week? Is the Partners statue still covered? I thought I read somewhere in the last two days from someone returning that it was visible again.

My brother and his family were at MK yesterday and said the statue is still covered up.

Wow the hub is looking kinda ugly.... that kinda bums me out for my first visit ever coming up in a few weeks!
However I do appreciate that they covered some of the walls with images of the trees around the castle so that it isn't SUPER ugly lol

The hub is far from ugly. Really the only noticeable work is right around the partners statue. They've done great work with the hub and it's looking better than ever. It's so nice having it so open.

Its good to hear that! I'm going to WDW for the first time next week and was bummed about all the construction but this makes me feel better

We were there on Saturday and there were lots of scrims up around the hub. I knew it would be like that but was still disappointed to see it that way.

We were there on Sunday, and the Hub looks worse than it did in December, IMO. The box covering the statue is kinda stupid, and the scrims beside the castle with trees on them is bizarre and distracting. As you're facing the castle, the right side is completely walled off, so if you're walking through the castle, you have to go up the ramp on the left side. There is also a large scrim on one of the stores on Main Street. I'm not normally bothered by construction, but I did find the condition of the Hub to be distractingly bad.

This has been there for over a year now. I'm still waiting to see what this is going to be or when it'll be done.

I'm glad I won't have anything to compare to. As long as I can get some decent castle pics I will be ok!
The Statue being covered is a bummer though.

Looks like it's pretty permanent as they took down the walls to the inner hub today. yay!!

Can someone post a link to the pictures? I'm surprised they were able to unveil the inner Hub...I thought it looked like a big dirt pit just on Sunday! But we also rushed past it pretty quickly to get to our breakfast at BOG and like I said...I was super distracted by those tree scrims. LOL!

Posting a linking to another forum is fine. It's posting links to banned vendors that can be an issue, but even then, the board software just blanks out the URL.

I searched on www.wdwmagic.com and couldn't find it myself.
