Gah people can you be nice. HSM2 rocked! It was way better than the first one. I should just stay on my hsm fan forums cause frankly all yall hsm haters piss me off greatly. I love everything about this movie. The songs are better, Zac is hot, and boy Vanessa and Ashley are super talented. The Troyella break up scene and "Everyday" make me cry. && I bet those that hate it are freakin emos or goths anyway...Ugh i hate yall for hating this movie.!

Excuse me, but we're all just stating our opinions. Noone's been offensive to anyone about what they thought of this movie. Just because we love the first one does not mean we have to love the second one. I'm glad that you liked the movie. I'm also glad that people, like myself, didn't like it. We all shouldn't be entitled to like it, and you're going to have to learn to deal with that. Calling people you don't know goth or emo is pretty shallow.

Disney Channel’s “High School Musical 2” broke records Friday night to become the most-watched basic cable television event of all time.

The much-anticipated sequel to Disney Channel’s enormously successful 2006 movie drew 17.2 million viewers, besting previous record holder, TNT’s Western “Crossfire Trail,” by 38 percent. “HSM2” is also the most-watched television telecast on record for kids 7 to 16 and TV’s most-watched Friday telecast in total viewers in more than five years.

Compared to broadcast network programming, the “HSM2” audience was equivilent to last season’s average viewership for an episode of CBS’s “CSI” or ABC’s “Desperate Housewives.” Disney Channel took advantage of the anticipated turnout by following the movie with a preview of its upcoming series “Phineas and Ferb,” which drew 10.8 million viewers.

The original “HSM” was Disney’s most-successful movie when it debuted to 7.8 million viewers last year. Since, it’s become a cash machine for the network, spawning a best-selling album, DVD, book series, video game, concert tour and upcoming ice show.

Just because I watched it, doesn't mean that I liked it.
Have you ever gone to the movies, only to come out disappointed because you didn't like it?

I personally watched this with my friends (yes, I held a premiere party) for the heck of it. None of us liked the movie, but we had a good laugh. I can garuntee you that there are other people out there watched it "for the heck of it."

I had a party to and all of us there loved it. I watched it again tonight and im watching the sing-along tomorrow.

Well the millions of members on my two fansites i go on loved it so yeah...point made i think.

But I still love Zac Efron, and love Lucas Grabeel even more now.

I agree. I love Corbin too.
In the 2nd HSM the songs bored me. They weren't catchy.

It was not cornier. The dance steps were much more detailed and harder. Listen to interviews or if your really a fan, you would have watched the road to episodes and would understand this.

There are billions of people in the world. Not everyone will like the same things you do. And just because someone doenst like what you like, you have NO buisness calling them emo or gothic. Like I said, there are billions of people in the world. If everyone liked the same thing, it'd be pretty damn boring here. So just except the fact that HSM 2 is like by some and not everybody.......
