Crowds are supposed to be 4-5 the day we are looking to go.
Most important things: Jedi training, Star Wars, time in Star Wars store and taking photos outside
TSMM, meet woody and pals.
Disney jr show first priority, Indians jones second priority if possible.

We have only gone here once and our day was just off..,super hot, everyone was tired, in hind sight we should have taken the morning off :) this I time around both of my kids are Star Wars fans so we will be going before rope drop to sign up for Jedi academy then go from there. This is our least favorite park so I think tis a good day to do as a half then rest. My ideas are:
1. RD, then leave mid day to go back to pop to rest, return later for secondary things
2. RD, then leave by about 2/3 pm and do not return
3. RD, then leave for mid day take the boat to cape May or boardwalk, return to park or to resort if we are tired.

This will be day 3 or 4 of 8 park days. Do you have a better idea? Do you think we can fit in the Star Wars activities, which I know are contingent on what time slot we get for Jedi academy.....as well as the Pixar things before lunchtime?
Also door you think we need FP for other attractions? Other than star tours and TSMM would we be ok not planning other things out?

We like HS a lot. We all love to do the drawing at the Animation Academy. So HS is more of a 2/3 day or full day for us. Our kids love ToT and RRC. We also love to eat at the Sci Fi and have Prime Time for milk shakes. I wouldn't leave HS to go eat unless you can't get a reservation. With what you want to do you can definitely do it in 2/3 of the day. It also depends on the age of your kids. Our kids are older and can go all day. That is why we have a TS to get out of the heat and relax then get back out to finish the park.

If you're going on a day with 4-5 crowd levels, I think you will have no problem getting in everything you want. In fact, depending on your Jedi Training time, you might get everything done on your list by Noon! My girls are 9 and 10 and we generally do TSMM and RR as our first priorities, but always then do Star Tours, Indiana Jones, Beauty and the Beast. We are usually still done early afternoon, even on crowded days. My strategy for the remainder of the day usually goes one of two ways, both of which you've already identified. We either go to Boardwalk and grab food, stroll/ride around, check things out, and then get back to the park for Fantastic, or we go back to the resort at that point and swim/relax.

I would go with option 2. I like to avoid leaving a park and coming back because I waste a lot of time in transit. Unless you have your heart set on Fantasmic!, you could do everything on your list by early afternoon, and then have a relaxing afternoon/evening by the pool.

We always go for option 2. RD and leave by 2-3:00 and spend the afternoon at Downtown Disney or our pool. Kind of a time to recharge.

My only concern for you is you said this would be day 3 or 4 of your vacation. Is the day before this day a light day or an early evening? Usually by day 3 or 4, we're in need of a little extra sleep, and you said your last visit was not good because of this same reason. Unfortunately, with Jedi Training, you MUST be at HS before rope drop to get them signed up. If there's any way to make the day before this one a late start, I think you stand a better chance of not repeating your last visit.

This is after an early start, bed by 7/8. My kids will be 8 and 4. If not for Jedi we wouldn't book FP until after lunch. I can't seem to make a late morning work out on this trip, but of course if we need it we will change plans.
