HS open early--prior to posted time

Not talking about EMH, but in the past, DHS opened about 30 minutes prior to posted opening time (8:30 instead of 9:00). Is that still the case?

Would like to be in line for TSM by 8:30.

In August they let us in the gates early but we were held until 9 once inside the park. So we did not get to TSM until 9.

Yes, this happened to us in July too (except it was an EMH day, so everything was just earlier by one hour).

They do open the turnstiles early but it's highly unlikely you'll be in line for the ride 30 min before the park opens.
Is there a reason you need to be in the line 30 min before the park opens?

Loading the rides up to 30 minutes early is only used on extremely crowded days.....
Generally, guests are let in between 15 to 30 minutes early and internal "ropes" or boundaries are set up to hold the crowd inside the park and take pressure off the backlog at the tapstiles.

If you are one of the first 50 people in the ride, you very well could be walking out of it right about 9 or 9:05am
