Which is better for HS in terms of wait times and crowds - starting around Noon on a Friday or going at rope drop on a Sunday?
I always like to do rope drop but I’m trying to plan my days for next December. I can either put HS on the day after (hopefully) the Christmas Party or on a Sunday. I know I don’t know the schedule for Christmas Parties but historically they’ve had a Thursday Party. TIA

Will you get G+?

If so, you can take advantage of stacking return times and do afternoon.

If not, it can be either way. HS wait times seem to build quickly early and are much shorter by the end of the night. So you can Rope Drop and get a few rides in with a short wait and then face long waits for the late morning/afternoon OR arrive with some longer wait times and then they will hopefully get shorter.

If you're purchasing Genie+ we had great success stacking ILL$ rides at DHS and arriving in the afternoon.

We were able to ride SDD, TSM, ToT and ST using G+. Could have added Muppets or something too but we didn't need Genie+ for what was being offered.

If you want to ride RotR and not pay for ILL$, another great option is to wait and get in line just before park close. We did that. Line said 80 mins and we were off in 40 mins. The risk with that is RotR not running at the end of the day which also happened to us once that trip.

That’s a good idea for riding right before close also. I forgot about stacking the Genie + for later. That would work great - as long as they aren’t too crowded.

Oh that’s interesting about how the lines are shorter in the evening. That really makes me feel better about coming in later. Stack 3 Genie+ and then have the later evening lines.
